The government comes to you personally with an important mission

Mission Statement

The goverment discovers a random tribe of chimpanzees in the rainforest that appear to have slightly below average human intelligence. they can be trained to talk and do various activities. In order to test capabilities of the species, the goverment assigns you to one of 8 particular subjects. Codename: Fred. They deem video gaming as an adequate test of human intellectual / motor capability.

The government instructs you to train this chimpanzee(Fred) to place top 8 at a mortal kombat x major. they said quote, "we think video games are great intellectual test, but we don't want to be overly challenging to you on this one. We thought learning doomsday in injustice would be the perfect test, but they stopped playing that in tournaments so we need something similarly challenging. Also remember our deal, if you fail at this within a year and a half, we will ban you from eating chocolate, and also from knowingly listening to Taylor Swift albums. If you fail to pass our test, and experience these reprocussions any insubordinance will be punishable by death. We advice you find the easiest strategy which requires the least skill but most reward, we believe in you, and more importantly, we believe in fred. make sure you give him a cookie when he does well."

My question to you tym, is what character/strategy would you want to teach Fred??? There are so many options, here's a start.

1. Quan Chi, you don't want to bother to teach fred how to react space and read his opponents too much as he's not quite an average human, you can't gamble on that as you really like Taylor Swift, instead you teach him an extremely precise method of doing b2 low bat mixups and have a series of whistles teaching him how to be as random as possible with the vortex. fundamentals take time and work, you need to take the easy way out. Your thoughts are "maybe he can't compete with these guys in the footsie game, but thank God MKX gives me a system when we can create pure guessing games and yield huge rewards. Maybe i can get him so good at the unblockable that he just loops it over and over on his way to victory, it's worth a shot. We just have to make sure it doesn't get nerfed, im sure there are plenty of forumers who are clueless enough to believe its okay if we champion it. We'll be like Bush and Cheney"

2. covert ops sonya, Once again same M.O., we don't want a character who takes skill here. Fred's a chimp after all, he'll be hard to discipline. We want a character you can just disrespect people and jump with, so even if you get hit a few times its okay, because eventually you'll get them in a really unfair guessing game, because there's plenty of characters who simply have to take it if they slip up. The added pressure of the possibility of losing to a chimpanzee will surely cause them to slip up Remember this character can help players like crawlingshadow actually go toe to toe with highly skillful champs like Dab. . I'm certain if we get out to enough tournies we'll get a light bracket and get lucky in some 2/3 sets. People make money at casinos even if it's and we are bound if we give it enough shots to catch a top 8.

3. Mileena, Okay we really need randomness... Random Fred, it's our best shot. Random rolls, random ex rolls, weird goofy strings. Let's go.

4. Ermac I think we are getting to the point, it's all in at this point.

5. High Tech Jaqcui Briggs. Screw this, screw everyone. You are going to create the most disciplined chimpanzee ever. He's going to master every run cancel, he's going to manage to play footsies in a game where jump kicks kind of overlook at and normals like dvorah's and cassies are rigged. People will bow down to your high tech jaqcui chimp and see the true potential of this species. And then they will begin to realize that its yet another character who gets in and obliterates you mindless despite retarded execution requirements, and they will cry for nerfs. Eventually everyone will bow down to General M2Dave.

So easy. Give him Inferno Scorpion. Nuff said. Or Grandmaster Subz. Ice Clone, Ice Ball, Throw clone×All Damn Game.

@Peckapowa you talk a lot about how quan is a seemingly easy character to use and should be winning everything using unblockables and such. Why don't we mirror this Sunday on @Pig Of The Hut stream? Because I have moderate success using quan without the unblockables. So if you use them surely you can beat me quite easily. I'd like to prove that solid fundamentals spacing and game knowledge trump gimmicks

I would 100% pick Covert Ops no question, but Hunter Pred looks like he could be a good fallback. Just throw fuckin smart discs and traps and whatever, goddamn monkey, I'm trying to eat Take 5 bars and bump Bad Blood well into the fall.

Oh, I get it. ;)

Fred would certainly be able to play the following with ease:

Bojutsu Kung Jin
Master of Souls Ermac
Tempest Kung Lao
Quan Chi
Hellfire/Inferno Scorpion
Shinnok
Grandmaster/Cyromancer Sub Zero
Sonya Blade
D'Vorah
Heavy Weapons Jax
Outlaw Erron Black
