I'm positive players, especially Kotal players, know this but it is not as of yet common knowledge or commonly used in high level play.

Is there some other way to check strings that have these unusual gaps or is it just by uniform testing?

But there are still ways to make you respect the B1 strings.. Backdash eats a full power canceled MB Sword toss as well as non MB Ground pound. Obviously the ground pound is not going to lead to alot of damage but you still gotta respect it and the Sword toss, with its damage, corner carry and hit advantage is like a gift.

Not in the corner ... which is where this hurts the most.

Backdash is just one of my options. I can still just use armor which will beat all of your options including even if you try to block providing the armor attack is fast enough.

I want to point out something that wasn't shown in the video ... In the corner, the last hit of b122 can't be backdashed/armored by male characters but can by female characters.
