Darn shame metallic looked by far the most appealing.

So what are the advantages and disadvantages of crystalline vs aftershock.
I think I'd like to play aftershock but I'm wondering what crystalline has that sets it at #1

more than likely when the psn/xbl store updates, alot of times the "in game" store will update before the psn/xbl ones do.
 
Crystalline's db1 and its variants are the safest (if some of the work done here is accurate, they're actually plus), plus it has setups for its crystal projectile and skin. It's arguably his most complete variation as a result.

Aftershock is just really, really all-in on wacky setups. I'm hard-pressed to say it's outright better than metallic, but it certainly has way more potential. His dd1 and particularly EX dd1 can force some really hard to block setups and/or free recombos- if not just pressure, since them blocking the delayed low allows your f121 to connect essentially for free. His aerial variation seems like a really cheap 50/50 at first glance, but it's quite negative on block and is surprisingly easy to react to.

You seemed quite keen on metallic-- it's the variation I'm most familiar with, and it's technically speaking his most complete. It's almost two variations in one, though neither is stellar. Gold is the most zoning-oriented of any variant, but its plethora of projectiles are very slow startup and often give little reward (maybe a few extra percents of damage, or relative safety if they somehow get blocked and not avoided or interrupted). Lava stance is really the meat of this variation, with a launching bf4 and restanding db1. The advantage of the db1 in the corner is real and you can start getting away with Impostor-esque hit/throw guesses. It's really a shame you start the match in gold stance.

So the give and take is really safety and skin (crystal), hard setups (aftershock), and restand pressure and ghetto zoning (metallic). The nice thing with Tremor is that a lot of his best tools (stringwise and specialwise; EX dd4, db2 for combos, db3 overhead) are available to all variations, so you can mostly get away with playing the variation you like without feeling like you're sacrificing too much.
 
Hey guys I justed picked up tremor but I have no idea how to play him. It seems like everything except f12 and 21 has either a gap, is not hitconfirmable, is unsafe and or does very little dmg if it hits. Crystaline has the armor to compensate for this but instead of a full punish you will take a low poke and armor is gone. The other two varation have it much worse and I am at a loss and dont know what to do with him. Any tipps guys?

This might works in all variations for now I know it works in aftershock. Mid screen is a little wonky so I'll only cover this in the corner. F3 cancel into standing 2 when done as close as possible and your opponent crouch blocks. Unless your opponent has armour, all they can do is block. Kanos parry might counter this. You could counter the parry with your Low starter though. If they stand block they can poke out but u can poke first if u suspect this.if done as close as possible it will hit them out of the air too. If u don't want to poke u can either do f1 or standin 2. The f1 will get beaten by a poke and the standing 2 is very inconsistent with Beatin pokes sometimes it will sometimes it won't. Also Cassie can getaway flip and beat every option if blocked standin. Your low poke,f1 and standin 2 will beat most reversals. Atm all ik is that cassie beats this with her getaway flip
 
Hey guys I dont know if this is known but the following moves can be made safe by cancelling db1 (all variations)
11 (is safe even without cancle)
f12, f121 (is safe even without cancle)
b1d4, b1d4u4
21d4u4

Anybody else feel like Tremor's normals and strings (the non-rock based ones) look like they've been recycled from MK:DA or Deception?

I try the standard db2 and it works all the time, but if I try to do the up or down moves they act awkwardly.
- Half the time the attack doesn't work, not even the db2 comes out.
- About 30% of the time the normal db2 comes out, even if I press up or down they don't seem to register.
- The rest of the time (around a 20% of the time) the attack works properly.

Now this makes me really mad, I can't even connect basic combos, like these:
f1,2xx db2u f1,2xx db2u

If I manage to hit the first db2u as the uppercut it's supposed to be, I usually (always mess up the 2nd uppercut so it's either a punch or nothing. The inputs in practice mode show the moves correctly so I guess it's a matter of timing, can someone tell me what am I doing wrong?

PS: Been trying to do this for days...

Have you tried holding up/down instead of tapping it?

Also, if the move doesn't come out, maybe you're hitting the inputs too fast/slow. Try altering your timing.

U might be holding down or up along with back or down which will cancel the move if I remember right

I've been practising the god damn move for a long time today, and it's turning from anger into despair. It seems like I have to wait for the move to start before I input up/down or else the move cancels.

I can't upload a video with my 3Mbps connection, but I can provide a screenshot of an instance where the uppercut doesn't work:

In this example the f121 comboed correctly, however if I don't press up it works every time. If I delay the up key press sometimes it works, sometimes the move cancels and sometimes I get a straight rock fist to his face.

I just don't get it, it took some time to combo Kenshi's possessed ex db1 into bf3 but it was doable as soon as I got the timing, but this one seems to work out of RNG.

1) you need to hold the button, otherwise normal db2 comes out
2) make sure you are holding up or down and not back+down/up
3) dont press up or down before the animation starts, other wise the whole db2 will be cancled

Btw I really wanna smack the guy who came up with the idea of holding direction buttons instead of just different button inputs like db1 db2 db3, especially since pressing a direction button can cancle a move....

I had a very similar problem with this day 1

If you're playing with input shortcuts turned off (which is what I was doing) try turning that setting on and then doing combos with db2u or db2d, should be much easier.

Any1 else noticed when playing Aftershock variation we get those tiny emblems or icons after we play enough, well i wanted get AS ones but instead i get Crystal ones..?

Crystal ones are tiny crystal and AS are small earthquake icon so i notice the differance

Metallic gives you the aftershock emblems and crystaline gives you the metallic ones. But tremor wasn't rushed right.

What's the consensus on Tremor now that he's been out for a while. Is he fun to use?
I find he has the most fun offense though he could use a little help frame wise on a few things. Aftershock has air quake for spacing and counter zoning, also gets some nice corner setups. Crystalline gets a regular interactable and some armor that creates gaps in strings and allows for more pressure. Metallic I have no clue what it's good for?, it has more projectiles and lava mode gets a restand but nothing that really sets it apart like the other 2. Look up some videos, @Pig Of The Hut streamed DJT's tremor and he played great. Right now Tremor is no way top tier or broken or anything. I think he's a decent mid tier who could use a few adjustments so he stays competitive.

Hes fair but currently a bit stronger since not many people really know the gaps and counters for his gimmicks/setups. Also I think he is far better aginst chars who have bad armor moves (quan,D'vorah ect) since they cant exploit the gaps as well as for example a kung lao.
