Should MKX Time limit Switch?

Don't hate this idea. I'd also like to see the health bars increased, personally. Rounds are too fast, even at high levels of play featuring godlike defense.
Health bars increasing would basically be the same as scaling down the damage.

Win At All Cost
Pick Kotal Khan Blood God, Always have reduced damage totem up, put up blood totem when health is getting low. Always stay in the corner so They can't knock you out of god ray, and only use your meter for EX God Ray healing. Proceed to laugh as your opponent rages on the mic as the time winds down to 0.

Of course this would never work against anyone who knows how to play the game but I've had a great deal of fun doing this to online scrubs. I'm evil I know. :joker:

I thought I was the only one who ever did this. It's been my first go to move whenever someone starts whining or raging over the top.

So, you don't like his Sun Throw? Fine, I'll go Blood God...

Normalize grab immunity.
So sonicfox picks up Kitana than starts asking for less time in matches. Use any tactic to win right?

But really though. Lower time limit would be cool to experiment with but MKMKx would need more than that to make defensive play a rewarding strategy.

Just want to point out that injustice has way more to it than mkx for defensive play. Non restricted movement, you could gain life back with proper meter management, 50/50s weren't batshit crazy (IIRC). Plus those were 2 big grapplers with one probably facing one of his worst matchup. Injustice was probably a better balanced game in terms of gameplans. (Unless you're joker since he was "banned")

P.S. I hate grab immune strings. Seen it in both of those videos and it makes my skin crawl.

Another point i wanna make is that this helps out characters that dont really have a solid way to open people up but can play really lame such as:
Necromancer Shinnok
Kitana (any variation)
Blood God Kotal
Lasher Takeda
ephereal mileena
etc etc (need to look at the character variation roster lol)
So for defensive sake I would like the change.

@SonicFox5000 It's actually 90 seconds, not 99 seconds.

90 seconds in game equals 150 real seconds (2 minutes 30 seconds)
60 seconds in game equals 100 real seconds (1 minute 40 seconds)
30 seconds in game equals 50 real seconds

Should probably change/add that to the OP.
 
I think I have seen one match go even close to the wire, and it was a pyro Tanya match before the teleport nurf... and by "wire" I stil mean like 30 seconds left... haha The clock in MKx has no meaning at all and as some have said it severely gimps defensive players (even more than it just being a NRS game : P )

I think making is 30 in game seconds it is a little much, but in truth.. making it 60 is not going to really effect anything either. As, I have not checked, but if we look at evo top 8... do any matches even approach 60 seconds? Not even close.

I think an interesting dynamic would be to make combo breakers 1/2 bar BUT take 2 bars to build i.e combo break, then halfway to an EX attack. I like the 39 second shave. Block breakers 1 bar...
 
With chip damage and offensive meterbuilding to do more chip damage while the opponent builds no meter blocking , IMO block breakers and 60 seconds(not real seconds) would be enough to reward defensive play and see the momentum shifting more often, rather than one round flying by in 15-20 seconds.

60 is okay, but doesn't make a big difference. The game is too fast paced. Me and @General M2Dave tried out 30, though...perfect. The game feels about as fast paced as ST. So that short of time is amazing. We had a time out right after changing the settings, and it fit perfectly with the game flow.

I think it should be a no brainer...30 seconds.
