Kano is the only character not represented in Evo's top 64. Therefore he is the worst in the game.

Kano is a solid character on paper but he plays a style that doesn't pay dividends in MKX. Great at space control, zoning, mobility, and all around defense but defense is weak in this game. I think he's underrated though.

Predator was banned from EVO for being released too late. Kano should have been banned for being too underpowered.

Still standing by my stance of only needing fixes, and tiny, tiny buffs on Cyber/Cutthroat. Commando I'm more lost with. I say give him a 4 hit string unique to him(F2 starter it would most likely be), and somehow, some way, create more tick setups. But again, I'm the least decided on Commando.

I'd be careful with Commando, 20% off any command grab and a counter all in addition to Kano's already solid moveset is something I find very scary. I'm surprised there aren't more players exploring Kano for this variation alone.

20% off a bar spent for a command grab or parry. Remember the bar. And Commando(MKX's designated grappler) right now has 3(three) tick setups. Erron Black has 13(THIRTEEN), and I'm fairly certain that's across all variations.

The only thing I'd be "careful" about is how high you set your expectations at the character select screen.

For serious though, Kano is one of those everything looks fine on paper character, but there is just literally nothing that makes him pop. No big moves to be scared of, no strings that make you worry. He just suffers from a giant case of ehhhhhhh
