sup guys,

I've been thinking about doing that kind of video since quite a while and finally manage to record some stuff today
also i won't make it out to evo, so why not share the tech

these are mainly ex kunais setups i've been using against other players and which seem to work quite well
ranging from crouch blocking, to stand blocking opponents, there's a lot of stuff covered

i didn't add anything regarding the opponent tech rolling, since i was too lazy
excuse my video editing skills as well

hope this helps a few of the takeda players

(we still need a buff for the ex fist flurry, since it's way too slow)

I don't play Takeda anymore but this was really informative. Hope to see you and other Takeda's implement it in tournaments.

These are really nice. I don't use the njp setup outside the corner tho. Never really worked for me. I have some dirty stuff w ex kunai utilizing one of his more useless moves lol. I may show it off if I could figure out how to upload from ps4...

Looking at this, right away I'd want to wake up back dash. How would this set up interact with that? The double OH looks like it'd beat it, but the other set ups (njp, jik) look like they'd lose to the iFrames. Would the kunai still pick up a combo after the retreat? Instant air teleport would fix back dash woes I'm sure, maybe cause a run? What about delayed wake up?? I saw you mentioned the tech roll disparity, but idk if that'd change too much.

Interesting tech, but I'd like to see more. Seems like an unfinished project, but I'll look out for next part.

@st9rm should i make a video of how to block your setups? :p
definitely, you are probably the most consistent "takeda-mixup-blocker" ;)
Here's some more dirt @st9rm ;)

Enjoy fellas

nice setup, i've been trying this as well, but it's super risky if they manage to block :(

good points, i will make a second video covering the opponents options when it comes to techrolling, backdashing, jumping out etc :)

Good stuff @st9rm . Ex Kunai is probably Takeda's best pressure tool no doubt. He actually builds a good amount of meter on block using the ex kunai. About 40% depending on which string you're using for pressure. I've also had people tech roll my setup and it usually blows it up but you can always use air tele to counteract
