I've been trying to escape tele like you said, but it doesn't seem to work for me, is there some kind of trick to get it to come out? I press db3 and hold forward, but he does the regular teleport, done the input as fast as possible, slowed it down too, it's strange. The down button teleport cancel works fine...

Interesting thanks, but B32F2 gets me punished... alot. I think most characters can counter it since it's -12 on block
You are right the majority of the cast can punish this without any issues, including Scorpion himself, and he is a terrible punisher lol

Make sure you have a full bar of stamina.

If you don't have the stamina, it won't work and you will just teleport normally.

What? Scorpion has great punishments tools, S1, S2, B1, B3, F3, take down, D2, IJ3, F3RC and B3RC in hellfire.
I always considered it a weakness of his to be honest, due to his fastest normal being 9 frames and with not a lot of range. So certain attacks can be used against him without worry, while other characters like Kung Lao, Cassie, Raiden, etc can punish quite a bit more attacks on block. However on big punishes...he punishes pretty hard lol

There's not a great deal characters can get away with for free against Scorpion and the ones that can apply to the whole cast.

His F3 is godlike for punishing moves with push back, he's one of the few characters that can punish Errons F132 string, Bojutsu Kung Jins specials, max range B2 from Sub Zero, mid range projectiles with RCF3 and blocked NJP's on the way up due to that move alone.

His S1 being 9 frames is annoying but aside from Raiden, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax, Kitana and Jacqui I can't think of any other characters where their go to punish is faster than 8 frames. Cassie's best reversal is her flip kick which while extremely fast has poor horizontal range. Take Jacqui being on there with a pinch of salt too, her S1 is pure shite despite being 6 frames.

I still stand by that Scorpion is one of the best punishers in the entire game, one mistake and he is guaranteed 30% meterless into a mix up which will either add another 12% or another 30% that leaves him incredibly plus on hit.

Standing 1 has good range man, I can sure as hell vouch Scorp has an easier time punishing things like Johnny's EX nutpunch than Cassie or Liu Kang do. Off the top of my head 9 frames is about average for a jab anyway isn't it? Some things are better suited for some situations more than others, and different tools make for different fights.

I guess that makes sense, I always considered him to be mediocre at punishing, but I guess he is alright if you put it that way. Most of the time I tend to only get a throw against a good portion of the cast. But with other characters I tend to get more. But I guess comparing him to Kung Lao or Raiden isn't really fair is it? lol

You know, since reading all these tips, I've been playing around with Ninjutsu scorp alot more and I'm now appreciating just how strong he really is. I'm usually pretty good at predicting when someone is gonna use a wakeup attack, but find it hard to punish with some other characters. His f2 blows it up right away for full combo. An awesome tip I got from @UsedForGlue was to condition your opponent by throwing after you land a vortex, so basically It means my combos do 47% that way and you condition the opponent to try to press buttons so you can land another vortex if you predict correctly. The mind games can be pretty OP with this variation :D

It also has to be used within a certain proximity in relation to your opponent's character.

In other words, you have to be within jump distance to use that TP cancel.
