So something I had no idea about until now is that his F3 is grab immune. I played my friend in a long set last night so he could learn Jason MU. He mains Sun God and loves to EX SunChoke on wakeup. I forgot about this and went for a F3 for the hell of it and I kicked him in the face making him waste a bar. Did it 2 more times in the corner before he stopped and blocked high. Then I kept hitting him with F44 Choke in the corner resulting in a couple flawless victory rounds cuz he couldnt wakeup and kept guessing wrong on OH/Low and blowing through command grab. Idk if this was known but I wanted to share cuz it was hilarious!

There was a lot of salt on mic. I think he mentioned he wants to switch mains now. XD

Yeah, there are so many grab immune moves in MKX. Far too many, if you ask me. But, well done.

B1 hitbox is the biggest thing

Tight Squeeze cause better tight squeeze.

Only thing Jason needs now are better pokes (they either have 0 range or way too slow. Can almost never poke out of any heavy pressure from my experience and watching KHTC_Armor play) and a command grab that keeps opponents in the corner imo.

Other than that, I am still happy with my character.

Isn't d1 fast enough? If you really think they're gonna pressure after a negative string. Otherwise just armor through. If they don't keep pressuring or you hit d1 then you get your b1 mixups. His pokes are weak but d1 does it's job. Now that b122 is an actual consistent string you have all you need to start pressure. You make good reads, that's what Jason does, don't think he needs better pokes, wouldn't even fit his character. I guess Slasher could get some but Relentless has what he needed now.

I assumed by "incomplete" you meant he was missing pieces, to which I disagree, I think he has all the pieces he needs but some of them need to be improved and tweaked.

Ive noticed some top Jason's like to do b12 squeeze on block. Could someone explain why, because I've tested it in training and its not safe, so I don't get why people do it.

Does 111 come out faster than b122? I'm still trying to wrap my head around why King Jr uses 111 when b122 does the same thing but better.

I forget how plus B12 on hit is, but I like doing that to bait armor attempts. Works wonders, since most people aren't crazy to jump on Jason.

I do ask tho, anyone else feels that slasher is really stiff compared to relentless? I can't be the only one.

He is stiff as can be lol. I main Jason and other that the cool "Jason" factor I don't know why. He pretty limited all around. I'm painfully learning my command grabs just to get away from the stiff slasher. This dude needs a buff.

Nah, there really isn't much buffs he needs. It would be nice to have a more advancing BF2 tho, and a faster D1, other than that he doesn't need much else. I tend to stay away from slasher now since he gets low profiles in that variation free still.

I was playing a set vs Johnny Cage, and I"m highly annoyed that his d4 low profiles both Tight Squeeze and b122. Shit irks me.

Yeah, he can still get out footsied pretty hard by d4's. The key thing seems to be learning their range, startup and recovery and just whiff punishing. Jason has a surprisingly fast walk speed and that b122 on the second hit is more than enough to close the distance on any d4. Plus it's -1 on block so depending on how you've conditioned them and they blocked it sets up a potential armored move, another b122, tick grabs, etc.

I may have some terrible news for us Relentless players. According to Colt, the damage buff carrying over to the next round isn't intended.

I'm in my phone, so I can't post a picture. However, I can tell you where to read it: Go to my profile page and scroll down to the status update after my most recent one and see what he said.

If it's not intentional, then the buff is fucking useless if it gets fixed. The amount of extra damage you get in one round is so negligible. To see it really start to shine, you have to lose at least 125-150% of your health. So, in other words, you have to lose at least a round and a half for it to be really beneficial.

An extra 2-3% damage per round would be an absolute joke.

I just hope Colt is trolling. =|

It IS wrong. In theory (practice mode) he gets 1% or so for every 30% health lost. So in the brink of losing a match, he should have 6% max bonus.

Still I've turned 36 dmg combos to 46 and 30 to 40. That still could be intentional, as I can't check through practice the bonus after a round is lost, next round bonuses could be double

He may be trolling, but he may also telling truths. Don't let it get to you, a nerf like this won't make Jason relent

It would still suck. I mean, it would be absolutely useless. You could get at max 3% extra damage per round at the expense of 90% of your health. How is that even helpful in the slightest if it doesn't carry over?

Maybe Paulo is just yanking my chain. You would think if it wasn't intentional that it would have probably gotten fixed. Or maybe that's just me hoping, lol.

The way it currently works now is perfect and can lead to absolutely godlike comebacks. Imagine seeing a Relentless player going neck and neck with someone at EVO for two rounds and having lost most of his health in the winning round to start the third, getting down to like 30% and making a massive comeback due to the buff. That would be hype as hell. I'd say it was well earned and that the damage buff is working as intended.
