Hello. I've been quiet for too long here and feel like I had to make a vid showcasing some bugs and fixes I would like for Raiden's Displacer and Master of Storms variations.

Don't worry i'm not asking to buff Thunder God. That variation is fine as is BUT I do want to see some changes done for Displacer and Master of Storms so that they are up to par w/ T God.

And sorry I'm kinda late to this during 'patch season'. I wanted to have this out last week before the last patch, but better late than never I guess.

  • MoS EX Trap BUG? If Raiden gets poked or hit on wakeup trying to EX Trap, only 1 orb comes out. Can this be fixed? I feel both orbs should come out at the same time
  • Rising Thunder EX Hitbox going through opponent: I've noticed sometimes comboing Rising Thunder in the corner, the move clearly goes through the opponent and hitbox on it should be fixed.
  • Rising Thunder EX: A nitpick of mine that I wanna address is how come the 2nd hit of Rising Thunder misses in the corner? I'd like to make use of it's neutral advantage on block and have it hit in front of a blocking opponent but having it whiff is a big problem let alone putting himself in the corner.
  • Displacer Teleport taking Stamina: Something I wanted to address before last patch of Tanya nerf. Why does Raiden's teleport have to take 1/2 bar of stamina when advancing teleport and in place? Meanwhile Tanya gets to teleport for free without worrying about stamina. Tanya does lose stamina when she cancels from teleport stance. Maybe Raiden should only lose Stamina when he teleports in place? Since it's a fakeout.
  • Displacer EX Teleport Hitbox: Raiden has his hitbox still on screen to get hit while he is holding EX teleport. To compare, Ermac's invisible move leaves him invulnerable to get hit. My suggestion would be to either include armor the whole time he's invisible or take make him completely invincible from hit in that state. I think more active armor would be fine since he's already spending meter to try to get away.
  • MoS faster Trap recovery please. There's not much knockdown moves to where he can safely put an orb on screen without getting beat by a wakeup. I feel his recovery on regular Static Trap should be updated from 49 to 30~ range.
Other changes I'd like not included in vid.
  • F4: Since Raiden lost his best 'footsie tool' F1 becoming a high, his F4 knockdown should be an overhead and block adv set to maybe -8 ~ -10 .
  • Displacer Teleport startup on non-EX: Slight adjust recovery on it. From 29 frames to maybe 20?
  • Vicinity Blast non-EX startup change: Can it not be so slow to anti air with it please? The move is almost completely useless. And perhaps 1% damage buff on it? Since right now it's only 5% and it's hardly used since his other attacks make for bigger damage.

  • B1,1 hitbox fix: This too should be fixed because it is listed as both hits being a mid, but sometimes (and very occasionally in matches) the 2nd hit will whiff as if it were a high while opponent is crouch blocking. Could possibly need more range on it/bigger hitbox.

I hope you take some of these into consideration! I grow bored of using Thunder God and would like to spice things up a bit w/ the other variations.

I have requested Lightning Run Cancels before for his other variations, but if you can't make that happen, hopefully these changes can be obliged in place of that.

I think these are all very creative and outside of the bugs that need to be fixed, the one thing he actually needs imo is for his b11 to be fixed. Both the first and second hits whiff point blank on specific characters standing & crouching when they are listed as mids.

pretty good changes especially the bugs and b1s. recovery gonna be tricky though to find whats right but not too good. its close as it is.

i believe connected orbs should activate just a touch faster. this would force opponents to pay attention to what youre doing and respecting when to block traps instead of just rushing to get their stuff out before blocking it nullifying your advance.

also this would prevent opponents from starting a combo, blocking beam and continuing combo like it wasnt even there.

definitely a fine line between here and overpowered though. mos is very good still, not complaining.

i just wish raiden didnt have the worst Mid htting attacks in the game, im not sure about the stuff from MoS because i dont really play it, but displacer as is has no use for normal teleport. You can guess right that they are going to throw a projectile and still get full combo punished because of the recovery.

Added B1,1 fix needed to first post.
It is pretty annoying having B1,1 whiff, especially on female characters. :/
 
make f4 win the entire fight if it lands, let mos and displacer do the reverse projectile from early mks since we don't have LRC, make superman positive on block, make raiden win when I first select him in the character screen (if a mirror, make the raiden Im playing as win the game)
 
So help me god if these fixes happen...
B1,1 desperately needs fixed you can agree on that I'd hope. Teleport needs a buff, there's no way you can say it's useful. And as someone who loves his traps, you gotta admit MoS has almost no setups for them. One orb needs a use. These fixes wouldn't even make them as good as TG. It would however make their archtype worthy of use and possibly a counter pick to some matchups.

it's the breathing hitbox again, now will nrs hear our plea? or they can just fix raiden and not the hitbox itself

I would really like to see vicinity blast start up a little faster for anti airs, I mean that's the whole point behind that move right?

Also I think displacer and mos NEED something done to make then a little more viable

I think whiffing mids are on the very bottom of NRS priority list so I'm not holding my breath.

Left out that part where Displacer's regular teleport should have recovery frames that don't read like a terrible, terrible joke.
