Stop with this nerf predator nonsense, he has a great setup game and deals good damage, but that's it.
He doesn't have any decent block punish, got pretty slow normals, his wake ups suck, his neutral game is average, his mobility sucks.

Predator has the potential to be a top 10 character, but Kung Lao, D'vorah, Cassie, Raiden and other tops just outclass him. No way he should be nerfed.

Everybody could say Tanya was broken after 1 hour of practice...Predator is not like that.

There are no unblockables. Blockstun doesn't mean anything. It is just a hard to block just like Quan Chi's low bat set ups. Tom was doing overhead/low set up, where NJP hits first, and the trap hangs him. If the trap hits first you block it backwards. Even if the hits are just a frame apart it is possible to block. And if they hit on the same frame you can block both standing.

How on earth do you get your opponent to land on the second trap properly? I can't seem to get it. The opponent ends up on the (close) trap after the 2 in 32. Any advice on the specifics of this?? Surely this can be initiated off any combo that uses njp in the corner right??

You probably can't block Quan Chi's low bat b2/NJP set ups and Takeda's Ronin set ups))))) I got used to Quan pretty fast. It is blockable, believe me. The timing is very strict though if it is done right. Block stun just makes it hard to understand when exactly to duck. There are no unblockables like that in mkx.

I found that if you hit the b2,2-close trap kinda late, then the close trap will activate after 3,2-grab. So you wanna land the b2,2-close trap at the highest point.

This type of stuff might only be stage specific because stages where the walls eat projectiles don't allow these setups to operate properly. The mine is visually gone or you can barely see the red glow but there's no contact :(
I should edit my previous comments... Because I've discovered I can actually execute the trap using 32 close trap instead. Seems a little easier for me. Another good thing is that I've executed this on multiple stages. Seems like if I hit 32 close trap at a certain height it changes the distance of the trap to somewhere between close and mid. It's weird

if they do that they might as well delete the character.... if its that hard to block low.. you shouldnt be playing this game... honestly it is hard enough to set up that trap safely any moment could be metered through.. his WU's are questionable...i don't get where everyone is coming from on Hunter being op... now HQT i can agree but Hunter nope, maybe a small damage reduction. i can rock that but take away his setups, im done with this game... might play tremor.. but Hunter is keeping me here for the fun factor

here is some you can try... against advancing Armored WU's

Mileena has a slower recovery on her Flip in roll on block (its slow enough to use Stab BF4.. so basically everything works after it... lol mileena) i think her fastest move is 9 frames 21... and fastest special is 8 frames roll i think...

Kung lao has moderate recovery on his Vortex on block(you have to immediately input F12 after blocking vortex) your F12 is 8 frames on SU
