Tech - Shinnok Shinnok Grab/31 String Option Select


alright this is situational and probably not too incredibly useful but i figured i'd post it anyway.

after a b3 overhead in the corner you can input 31~mimicry with the 31 being in sort of a piano motion and if they block you get a grab and if it hits 31~mimicry comes out.

it's only in the corner and i know the overhead isn't safe so it's not the best to throw out in the corner but, oh well i still do it anyway. at least this will help keep them sweating in the corner if they don't punish your blocked overhead.

EDIT: oh yeah and it kind of works with 112 but you don't get a juggle off of it so there's really no use.

Suppose it means your opponent has to be on point with there button presses. Unless 3's a high... Then they duck both options but I don't know ANYTHING about Shinnok :p

3 is mid but b3 is unsafe on block :\
yeah true but like i said i use it anyway and i'd bet you do to, at least occasionally.

i mean it's one of the buffs that helped make him viable. too bad we can't cancel out of it haha but that would be a little too good.
 
i just tested and it works with njp. its a little more wonky and i can't get it every time yet but it seems to work. its best to do the full 312 with njp though it seems. just something to look in to, figured i would post it here. going to test further later.
 

theres a video showing it working with NJP.

the timing on this one is after the njp hits and right before you hit the ground piano 31. when you hit the ground do 31 together and then do the input for mimicry. it's kind of a tricky timing to figure out but i have it down pretty much 100% now.

obviously they can block then duck to escape the grab, but like i said earlier it's just something i found and thought i would share.

EDIT: Oh and this works mid screen as well!
