Your problem is that you think NRS is ever going to change their business model, and they're not. Street Fighter IV has outlived 4 NRS fighters now (MKvsDC, MK9, Injustice, MKX). FOUR. Some people think this is "smart business." I mean, why take pride in your product and nurture your player base when you can instead quickly push out garbage and rush to turd-polish in a 6 month timespan? We only have ourselves to blame for buying their games in the first place.
I disagree. SF4 was shit and it remained shit until today. NRS games were fun as hell. I'd rather pay for 4 different games and have 4 unique expiriences, than pay 4 times for the same game with little changes. NRS games are born to live until the next one comes out. I assure you, that if MK9 had been balanced well it would've been played until today and people would freak the fuck out on choosing between MK9 and MKX, because MK9 was fun as hell. I see them choosing MKX though, because $$$.

And is Tanya now at least -10 after landing a hit on block after teleport? Because that's messed up. I see an Injustice Scorpion 2.0.

I streamed MK9 from Nov 2014 to April 13 2015 up to MKX release. That game is still badass.

This is what stops many top street fighter players from staying with NRS games. 801 Strider stopped playing with the last scorpion change.
Look at this from your quote: "Why do they have to release patches three days before a tournament that radically alter the game balance, throwing out weeks of lab work?"

How one is supposed even take this seriously? this is one hell of a overstatement, the patches don't require you to start from ground zero, people here already post videos showing exactly what changed since day 1. Then he calls for patches about hitboxes, glitches(both are being fixed as the game progresses) and weaker variations(which are being adressed as well), and he still calls out NRS for not hiring seasoned players for game testing, when capcom's last two games were Marvel 3(that needed a big change to the X-Factor and other characters changed), and SFxTK, which is already gone.

I like SF, like to watch and play, and would like to see players from other scenes playing MKX, may they do what they must, but please, don't be dramatic about it, the patches are tuning the game for the better(there was a poll here and the majority agreed the patches so far have been a step in the right direction), things so far have been reasonable, NRS top players are still playing and succeeding.

SFIV, has outlived pretty much every other fighter released after it, i guess every other game is garbage then.

SFIV came in, in a time where 2d fighters were in a low point, it was a really fun game and a had a fairly decent netcode(playing with people from the same country), and it was part of a franchise that already had a solid competitive background, and it took over from there, there is a context to be analyzed. Business model is the least of NRS worries, they need to get the netcode right(this is the main issue), other than that their games have a above average amount of content(specially for fighters) and are fun to play.

GO VOLS!!!
I don't know if it was this patch or the last patch but Reptile can now get 30% damage off an overhead in the corner for no meter. Thanks NRS.

Congrats on missing the point entirely.
