Question - Reptile Reptile's needed Forceball buff

Most humble shit talker ever!!!
Yeah i agree....

Focus on buffs that dont make him braindead(like making his claw an OH) but more on what makes him Unique.
I think they need to Chip of a few recovery frames of all balls and maybe cut a few off the Acid vomit start up imo

Spammer. Crouch walk hater.
Forceballs and elbow dash make up the actual core of this character, what has been making him Reptile since the beginning of mk2.

I want those to be the core of the character, not bullshit normal string 50/50 that half the cast does.

Come on now.....

Also, you should change the thread title, otherwise people will actually think we got a forceball buff and continue to ignore reptile.

Reptile is crap. He needs buffs now. And no I'm not kidding. I'm tired of you up players .. It's so painfully obvious he is bad

reptiles only problem is a slightly weaker meter building, you can reduce that by whiffing bf2 a lot, you have to master the range, not to hit them but just stop right at their face. his meterless dmg is pretty decent, easy 30-36 at the corner meterless, and 25+ mid screen, his os is pretty easy to do too, the variations arent really that great though, i reckon deceptive trait shouldnt disappear during blocking while noxious shouldnt disappear by getting hit. in short i think reptile is a great rush down character that can quickly punish whiffed moves by using bf2 and a good corpse jumper by jumping and bf2 as well

No they haven't. Reptile was ass with a forceball in MK2. 2 games where Reptile didn't even have either, he was top 3.

Also, @dribirut, nobody here has even really been saying he's good. I said looking at his normals and shit, he's solid. Never said that made him good.

Beware my power.
yes, way too OP. the fixes that they gave reptile make him feel complete now. notably improved juggle hitboxes on f412, 21 and 14 (?)

he now gets 35% off the overhead for 1 meter (universal) and an easier to execute 31% for the meterburn low

- balance patch in my eyes:

reptiles combos are now easier and don't require stamina. He also now does more damage -- this opens up so much for reptile. He can now save meter for his 50/50, his trait, and his forceballs

reptile has shot up the tier list imo.

the bad thing is that his variations are still very weak but thats ok with me

dude...no he's not and also you make the entire reptile community look bad with your constant whining. Im sure you know little to nothing about the intricacies of post-patch reptile.
lol you've been sold a bill

I really think Reptile needs his old forceball back. If he could alter the size of the forceball like in Mk9, he could establish a more decent zoning game.

He could use a buff for reduced recovery on them, and it would be really nice if we could get Acid Hand back from MK9. Personally I feel like the character needs to be completely reworked. I feel like he's supposed to be the ground version of Kung Lao, and he's not as mobile as he could be.

I don't play reptile anymore but I will say this. All the buffs he's received so far < if the forceball had less start up.

The character can't even build a bar to do a ex forceball. And if he does he gets what a chance to land another 18% dmg?

Their are characters much more stronger getting 50/50s with big dmg. I understand they might be scared to buff him because of that forceball but hitting the opponent 9 times before they die is ridiculous even with a 50/50

other than reptiles forcball obviously needing less start up frames because holy fuck i cant get that out before getting the crap kicked out of me, i think that noxious reptile needs dd3 cloud buff to not go away on hit, since as of right now i generally dont use it because it is just a waste of time due to the likelyhood of me getting hit after i activate it, other than that i still say EN reptilian dash needs armor, since as of right now there isnt much reason to enhance it, other than that i think that is all he reasonable buffs i would want out of it.

"You think you bad? Pffft, You ain't bad.."
I don't play reptile (I mained him in mk9) but I've said since day one that his force balls are just a bit too slow on start up and crappy on recovery. This is the buff he needs. Mk9 reptiles force balls were probably the best projectiles in the game and the key to him being a great character. I hope you guys get it!

FBs feel constrained to combo-only tools, and even then in limited quantity (can anyone inform me of a good time to ever use a SFB?). With even slight reductions to the frames, there could be much more freedom in their use, especially the EX versions (wouldn't a f412xxEX FFB juggle look awesome?). As they are, I can't find a use for them during oki that doesn't get me blown up.

That said, If Noxious buff was kept on hit, it could widen the gap between Noxious and the other variations. It already has safe ways to apply it, and you don't lose it on block, unlike Deceptive's invisibility.

EX ED with armor would invalidate the point of using the armoured EX slide. ED in general is risky as an attack, and is better suited for mobility--if ED had slightly lowered whiff recovery it would be more beneficial to both versions than armour could be (and would make certain combo followups easier).

Sad to say but. Completely leaving this character now after the last patch... good luck to all my fellow reptile mains but you are now using without a doubt in my mind a bottom 3 character. The struggle will be real
