Video/Tutorial - Kitana Kitana's Optimal BnB's (Universal and V. Specific)

Reason for this thread is to show the main BnB's Kitana player's should normally go for. AA's, punishment, conversions, etc, they are all here. I see a LOT of Kitana's missing out on some critical damage opportunities, so hopefully this video will shed some light to them, along with newcomers as well.


Key points: These combos work in RS and Assassin. Doesn't work in mournful due to her not having fans. Also, I had a blonde moment and accidentally recorded some combos while on a mic, so my voice will be heard some lol




Key Points: I didn't show much RS combos because they are pretty much the same as the universal combos. Ass does the same damage as Throat slice, but ends with a full screen HKD. I didn't use every string in this video either because I got lazy lol, but yall will get the point.

EDIT: LONG OVERDUE, but I did a optimal combo for Royal Storm after the patch. She took a damage nerf but is still capable of dishing out good damage.

Definitely going to watch these. I got started on learning Kitana today and DAMN. She feels awesome to play and I'd never even touched her before.

Awesome. I have still been playing with her as well. I also have a member in my family who wants to play her. Good stuff, bro.

I've always been a fan of assassin and since the last patch with the buff to parry i was hoping it would become a viable option... however im starting to think its still not worth using it over RS. I just cant find a situation to use parry in that makes it better to have it over what you lose out in RS. Thinking it might be time for me to make the switch to RS unless someone can convince me otherwise?? (i pretty much never use sharpen and parry is like a gimmick and rarely successful)

I just picked up Kitana a few days ago because KP's Royal Storm is so fun to watch, and she's equally fun to play. Thanks for this @xKhaoTik. I made a fairly simple 50% corner BnB for myself the other day: B14, EX fans, F33, Fan, J3, Fan, F33, Lift, NJP, F33, Throat Slice.

RS is definitely the better variation over Assassin, but Assassin isn't too bad. It's her worst but it can still be fun to use once you get used to it. Parry cancels are fun and sets up some nice mind games but anyone experienced with that can blow it up free. In matches like Raiden who have full screen armor, you can throw fans and then throw out a parry to scare them into not using the armor, making the zoning a bit better. There's a safe Sharpen setup so sharpen is better and more useful now.

getting a combo mid screen off the b14 ex fan really hard. Is it possible on line?

I think Assassin now after this last patch fits this meta better now. Until a new patch that is. But with the buffs to the parry you can use it in strings where you can backdash out of now. If you can poke out of a string or out of pressure the parry fit there too. IMHO with the rush down meta now I think the wakeup parry is amazing. Try it out. I'm hitting 2-6 a game now and making people scared to rush me down which lets me throw fans like I wanted to.
