Is the second nerf necessary?

is it a blow up for ducky that he called honeybee a whiner and then bee outplaced him?
Not really because one has nothing to do with the other. He didn't lose because of execution. It seems like he lost because he didn't know the match up. That just my opinion. If he lost because he was dropping run cancels left and right you may have a point, but thats not what happened.

Ducky dropped a few critical bug cancel combos against both Deg and Zyphox that would have completely changed the outcome of the match. So it actually is what happened.

I just lost at EGP today...

Bug just hanging out no cancel... I'm changing my vote... this change affects her too much to be implemented so close to Evo, imo...

I went from confident, to scared, nervous... sad... discouraged...

So much money to go to Evo, so much training...

Damn...

He never said he was never gonna drop them, he agreed that it was going to be rough adjusting in such a short time but he was going to spend less time complaining and more time practicing.

You're both good & the best, last thing we need is more of this pointless blow up shit.

The real problem with making Swarm Queen D'Vorah's execution so high is some players CAN'T push their execution to that level - it's not a matter of will but a matter of innate talent and dexterity. I've been playing fighting games competitively for 10 years, and there's a lot of high execution shit that I can muster, but there's stuff that I just can't do that only certain players can, like say Ironman Fly/Unfly combos or Mag's Rom infinite in MVC2... or b1 xx WGC. It's sad man, but not being able to use a character to their fullest extent means I can't main them if I want to be a competitive threat. As much as I love D'Vorah in this game, I just can't main her if her execution barrier remains this high. I'm going to keep grinding it out for a couple more months, but if I can't master it, I can't be a D'Vorah main.

She needed other nerfs, the execution thing was dumb and doesn't really affect her tier placings. I have confidence honeybee and ducky will eventually get it down but when it comes down to tournament, the pressure, the nerves and having to have even tighter execution than before? Huge oversight from Paulo. One of the few blunders.

the motion for cancel ending with a forward kind of helps because it makes it easier to just time another forward plus block for your run. If you wait too long to tap that additional forward though you won't get it. So there's like a balancing act between canceling into wasp early enough after the string to get it to come out and trying to make that cancel as late as possible so just another forward + block will get you run.

I guess that's the price you pay for her unbelievable range and mixups.

Still sucks right before 2 of the biggest majors of the year.

I agree 100%, just wanted to know @colt thoughts on it.
Thoughts on what? Liu has no vortex... He has a 9 frame d1 12 frame d3. He has no neutral strings, 111 is his only none negative string and it doesn't hit mid 90% of the time. He can't do over 25% without meter unless u get a confirm that u have enough stamina to 113 it. Leave it alone guy. He can't have a true block string that leads to nothing over 28% With 1 bar?

This aint the right place for this, I just hope the top players are not sleeping on Liu :coffee:

I forgot who posted the SF reference to 1f links but glad people arent buying into that nonsense. Using a char which requires constant 1f links is ridiculous when this game has ridiculously easy execution and other top tiers characters/players only have to worry about spacing, footsies etc while Dvorah mains will constantly have to worry about that plus their links. Agree with PNUT. Huge blunder there. Ducky and Bee both dropped the cancels in critical times in their matches and imo it costed them. Especially in top 8 when honeybee had the match in lock vs REO but dropped a few cancels that costed him
