The option select is one of the dumbest brokest things in any figthing game. i was clearly being completely sarcastic with every singe thing i said. You my friend cant sense sarcasm to save your life. God Bless your soul my beautiful child i wish you only the best. Dummy.

The fact is a majority of the community doesnt like the OS. But if it stays in, people will have to start using it or risk falling too far behind.

Insulting for not getting ur sarcasm on the internet..nice.

Alot of people have posted how perfectly fine OS are and how they make the game more "technical" and "deep".

I don't understand why someone would want LESS safe options for their character or someone else's character. Calling an OS stupidity and not wanting to "resort to it" sounds asinine if you're playing the game at anywhere close to a competitive level. That's like complaining that some people have the nerve to not just mash out unsafe reversals and calling playing safe stupid. I think a majority of the community doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.

Option selects have been in fighting games since their infancy. You SHOULD be looking for them, and SHOULD be trying to incorporate them. Any option that leaves you safe and is advantageous to you should be explored to it's fullest. Otherwise what are you playing for? Not gonna 50/50 MY OWN LIFEBAR away if I don't have to. MKX doesn't have anything remotely close to Ultra's that catch backdashes or Reversal Throw Techs. THAT stuff is dumb. Raiden making his overhead safe by canceling it, as he should, because it was always supposed to be cancel-able is NOT that. The fact that someone found the timing to lead to a full combo on hit and safe on block should be to their credit, not condemnation.

Not saying that the community should git gud and stop complaining but . . .

He didnt say say you are an idiot. He said that your "sarcastic" post (which you gave no indication at all that it was) was so convincing you managed to make people think you were just an idiot instead of being sarcastic.

He mentioned this in response to you blowing up and throwing insults at someone who didn't catch your "sarcasm".

To which you replied with more insults. Congragulations on sticking to the idiocy. The facade runs deep.

That's fine, but you are in the minority.

Others of us think that not everything should be able to be made safe and would prefer all OS to be removed, including our own characters.

I don't want everything to be safe because then the game becomes much less about reads and everyone is safe on everything. Plus it makes all the 50/50s safe, which will turn the game into even more of a 50/50 fest that it is. There is no skill involved with an option select, you input two options and the optimal one comes out. That takes a lot of skill out of the game and most of us want it removed.

If you get offended by someone "throwing insults" on a forum then you shouldnt be on tym. Especially with all the poor grammar floating around here. I couldnt care any less about what anyone thinks of me, im here to level up and play Mortal Kombat not to conversate about whos right and whos wrong about a miscommunication. When someone finds an OS for legit every option a character has we'll all join hands and come to an agreement that this game isn't for us, but that's never gonna happen. That's not how OS's work. I always respected MK's will you or won't you nature, in that you at some point have to take a risk and make a read at some point, and live with the possible dire consequences. Even Kabal's had to risk an unsafe nomad dash every now and then (Cyrax had to risk nothing, fuck him forever)

However, I reject the idea that making the HARD READ is any more "skillful" than just using an option select. It's more gutsy sure, but is GUTS, and a willingness to get punished if your gut lied to you a better skill than inputting your motions and being prepared for whatever favorable and even more favorable outcome awaits? I don't think so. I can respect guts, I can't respect the idea that playing smart isn't skillful. I didn't see Dizzy or Digit do something lacking skill. Quite the opposite in fact.

Saying I'm willingly and purposefully NOT going to play my character at it's max and optimal potential because I fundamentally disagree with it on principle is dumb. There are no two ways to slice it. Show me a top, middling, even bad player who wanted to succeed, who would reject the idea of playing safely and effectively if given the option. Show me just one. Even SonicFox learned there are ways to accomplish these goals without sacrificing his lifebar after a while.

I certainly get WHY people reject them on principle, but like, level up, and keep it moving. Or risk falling behind, while alas still having your idk pride in tact or whatever. Just sounds kind of stupid to me

Just because there is aspects of the game that don't have this bad mechanic, doesn't make it ok all the way up to the point that it is completely dominant. It's just as bad in moderation as well, it might not be relevant that often but it doesn't make it a good thing when it is.

I personally don't think he needs it. And I don't think he's mid. I actually don't expect any actual changes for Reptile outside of slight damage buffs on things like dash.

I'm sick of doing back 2 hat spin or forward 2 fake f23 to a be but getting punished on fake f23 can we have a low starter for KL I mean out of all characters look at KJ he has like 15047373729 low or overhead combos into combos same with Raiden and many more can KL just get a low starter move to be able to be competitive please NRS do something all your top tier characters have 50 50 even JAX like really JAX has 50 50 its unreal out of all people and now Shinnok let's go NRS give kung Lao his low starter
