It's cool. I'll be the odd one out who says I don't know about this.

Do we know just how many extra wake-ups we can stuff by ending with sweep instead of B212+4? The window to hit SZ's wake-up EX slide with F12 is really tight, online it might just be better to bait and punish it. I might be wrong though.

I do most of my training for the purpose of helping tournament players. You have many more frames to stuff wakeups if you end in sweep.Online, yea it's probably going to be tough to hit the b21 ender. You still have the much easier to hit b12 ender tho.

Try ending in b21 2+4 against sub zeros ex slide. The timing is VERY tight.

Now try the same after landing the sweep. You have ages to walk up and time the f2. If you check out my video, I do 3 reps in a row.

Glad I didn't put too much time into Mileena prior to this, now I don't have to "unlearn" the old BnBs. Focusing on her now, though!

Having success connecting the B21 inputting the run while in the air, but you have to do it AFTER air sai connects or the run won't buffer (at least in my limited experience).

Thanks for this. Awesome stuff.

Right, there's no doubt you did great with this find, I'm just wondering how good it would be online. Do you think online you'd be able to end with sweep and stuff an EX SZ Slide with F12 consistently? If not baiting and punishing it would be safer. If so, then it'd be fantastic.

Is there any wake-up that F12 after sweep cannot break I wonder..?

Just came back from the lab. Doesn't work on Kung Lao spin nor Scorpion's teleport (I'd assume most teleports would be impossible). Jax's gotcha grab is probably worth testing as well. Punch walk has more than one hit of armor I believe.

Can't do it against Scorpion's teleport for sure. You can stuff Kung Lao EX Spin with F1 but the timing is just super hard and not really worth it.

Pick up & kill it & kill it & kill it!
For the most part, I've been getting everything to land like the starter into b34, but after b34, I only land b2 while everything else I miss
I'm getting the timing of the b21 2+4 ender, now. I had to reevaluate my input notations. The key to her stronger combos is to not go haywire on your inputs. Just go slow with them & you're fine. Even while playing. Do them too fast or mash them out will result in an error of some kind. Either an unwanted input or it won't come out at all.

So true. Inputting her combos requires a certain level of chill.

B21 xx roll ...... wait ...... B34 air sai .... waaaaaaaait ....

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Mileena players.

After only having a half day of work today I spent some more quality time in the lab with everyone's favourite vixen Mileena. What I have uncovered should change the way you play Mileena.

Our current BNB's usually look like this: Opener~roll B3~teleport air sai ENDER. (B12 1+2, F24~roll etc.)
Her optimal damage from these BNB's is usually around 34-35% depending on the starter, however they limit our options for our OKI and mixup game.

Check out the video below:

Say goodbye to B3~teleport Air Sai and hello to B34~sai. B34~sai allows the opponent to stay close enough for some more damaging enders like B21 2+3 as well as gives us options on the fly to Mileenas wakeup reversal, @premonition 's f23~roll setup, as well as her throw 50/50.

Since it allows us to hit B21~2+3 her damage is increased, so our new BNB is a complete improvement over the old.

The gem of using B34~sai in her combos is that it also allows us to run in and sweep leaving us with an option that once and for all eliminates 99% of wakeups. Sweep leaves us with enough cancel advantage to CONSISTENTLY bait and punish armor wakeups opening opponents up to her f4 and ex roll mixup.

Her NEW BNBS should be:

Damage
Opener~roll B34~sai Forward Run B21 2+3 = Damage Ender. (1-2% higher than her old BNB's real easy to do)

Setup
Opener~Roll B34~telekick = Land behind the opponent and reverses wakeups

Opener~Roll B34~sai F23~roll = @premotionist Wakeup setup

ANTI WAKEUP

Opener~Roll B34~Sai RC Sweep F12B4 = Hard Knockdown, consistent wakeup destruction.

So there you have it. You will find examples of all of these in the video above.
I hope we can expand upon and put these to good use :)

Is this any disadvantage in ending with 2,1,u+4 instead of sweep?

I've been trying to do F12B4, Ball Roll, B34, Air Sai, Run, B21 2+4. I just can seem to get the B21 2+4 to land...

I wish I understood what was going on in this video.

So always sweep as an ender?
Sweep as an ender if you want to continue pressure for less damage (preferably when you have meter to do the ex-ball mix-up). Sweep (as well as 2,1,u+4 and f2,3,4) are untechable knockdowns(opponent can not roll/quickstand to get up) and knock them down for so long that you can begin the slow start-up of f1,2,b4 before they wake up. f1,2,b4 is special because f1 is composed of 2 quick hits in succession which breaks armor since armor absorbs only 1 hit.

Generally the set up has 4 different outcomes:
1- Opponent wakes up, f1 breaks their armor, you get f1,2,b4xxroll combo for free.
2- Opponent's wake up is unstuffable (e.g scorpion's teleport, tempest spin,punchwalk,x-ray). Generally this set up you don't want to go for against these characters.
3- Opponent gets up and blocks. They have to guess the mix up which is f1,2,b4 or f1,2,ex-ball.
4-Opponent delays their get up. I'm unsure on this one but I believe the f1 whiffs but the rest will connect on block. This option is the most common when the opponent realizes what's happening.

I've been trying to do F12B4, Ball Roll, B34, Air Sai, Run, B21 2+4. I just can seem to get the B21 2+4 to land...
Try to start the run as early as possible

Don't know if any of you guys know. But Her f12 has a gab. You don't even need to armor through it.

Is that in general or if the 2 whiffs? Because the 2 can whiff of you are not on top of them.
To be fair these combos is fairly new and are not that easy to execute. The new ones will become more prevalent in time.

I didn't, how big is the gap?
f1*gap*2. I was playing a friend of mine who was playing Raiden and whenever i did f12b4 to break armor on his wakeup he would just block it and than reversal Shocker. He didn't even use meter to armor through. He knew there was a gap cause he has played a little of Mileena.

So I just looked into it and it doesn't seem to be a gap. What it seems to be is that in F12, the 2 always whiffs on Raiden no matter whether he is blocking standing or crouching. So therefore, you can just block the F1 and then input a reversal and it should always hit. That is interesting though, I wonder whether F12 is character specific.

So I tested F12 on the entire cast and surprise surprise, Raiden is the only character in the roster where 2 will whiff regardless of how F1 is blocked. About half of the roster the string hits fine and about 9 characters 2 will whiff consistently when crounched blocked. Will make a thread later listing the characters and which group they belong to as it would help in armoured wakeup scenarios and more importantly the EX Roll/B4 50/50 in that string.

Good stuff Chance...I tried B34 into different enders a while ago but gave up on the idea due to not being able to land B21 2+4 consistently or connect B34 after EX roll every time....it looks like the gravity on her combos are too hard. The sweep setup is dope!
