Combo Breaker showed MK the proper respect the game deserves. I never understood how Keits would say he respects NRS but when it came time the game would get the back seat. The new TO proved he respects his hometown of Chicago and NRS enough to make MK the spotlight. Oooooos

this was so good, the first major tournament ive watched and i was not dissapointed! looking forward to getting into the competitive scene more

Not sure if I posted in this thread but congrats to Dizzy for taking this tournament.

I was also impressed by Alucard, Raptor, Nikolasss and Sonicfox. You guys played out of your minds yesterday.

Also I loved this tournament overall. It looked like a blast to go to and look forward to the shout out thread's for tournament players describing their experience. I also see Combobreaker becoming what Final Round is to Tekken or what Apex is to smash. Great turnout, and great tournament.

Such a fun weekend all around. Great venue. Great atmosphere. And an awesome amount of energy from the crowd during Top 8 / Top 16.

What an amazing Top8! Loved every single match! Shout to everyone, but special shout outs to Mikey (great to have him back), Alucard (great to see Kotal in Top8), Raptor (wow those pressure cancels, those look so tight, you made Takeda more likeable to me now) and mega-massive shout outs to GGA Dizzy! What composure vs REO to continue playing well after he thought he had already won the match 2-1, what a final round vs Alucard (was that a flawless?!) and what a comeback in the grand finals after Sonic reset the bracket and had him cornered in the final round of the final match! Well done Dizzy!

MKX at Combo Breaker was fantastic! And it's still so early in the game's life. O_O

Man this was probably the best tournament, as a whole, that I've ever seen. Pools were hype, top was even hyper, and the GFs was the hypest thing to date!

Congrats Dizzy for winning the tournament. You singlehandedly showed why Raiden is probably the top character in the game. That matched along with your skill that went unmatched in MK9, you are a force to be reckoned with.

Congrats to SonicFox! I was rooting for you big time. Even after the loss, you were still my pick to win. You TORE through the losers bracket against the best players to almost win the tournament. Plus, you had your own mascots which was incredibly hype to me. I know some people were salty about that, but you'll get him next time. Raiden is crazy.

Shout outs to Alucard for getting top 3 with Kotal! Him along with that CORN hype was a sight to see. Shout outs to RedRaptor too was showing that Takeda is no joke. You were amazing man. Shout outs to all the top level competitors for making this tournament so damn good.

1) Huge props to Dizzy for holding down the fort, we're all super proud

2) I should have local records for everything from top 32 and top 16 that got nuked because of our internet issues at the venue. I'm going to try to have them all uploaded ASAP, and will be trying to do a rebroadcast at some point later in the week, but I got a day job and regular shit to do so it might take a few days to get the videos cut and uploaded.
