MK9 Kano had an air throw that they took out for some reason. They could have put that in Commando and made it wicked anti-air combo starter :(

  • Not having Smoke back in the mix in MKX.
  • Not being able to do mid air ice clones
  • Kung Lao not having a low starter ,not having his rolling thunder basic move in MKX, and not having his MK9 Plum Flower move.
  • Johnny Cage's pressure is just not the same anymore in MKX and I really miss his F3 string. He really feels toned down now.

I liked being able to Anti-Air on reaction with an 11f st.1 or EN Forceball

I liked being able to cross-up on block out of being cornered woth EN Elbow Dash

I liked not having a million frames of recovery on my forceballs

But honestly, losing all that in exchanged for an armored combo starter, having a 50/50, better walkspeed, fast advancing combo starter, and DOING DAMAGE BY DOING NOTHING (Noxious XD) is a big win for me

I like MKX better than MK9 even though Kabal Is not in it and Raiden teleport got nerf. MKX is a much better game.

Universally I miss the BB input for moves, and while I miss dash cancels, I'm finally getting the hang of the run mechanic.

But so far, Reptile. He's tough to love in MKX, and he was never top end in MK9, but he was still a ton more fun to play.

Acid Hand - why'd they get rid of this? His Klaw Swipe could've been fine had they kept it an overhead, and it's still alright as it is but he'd be so much more serious w/ it as an overhead. Acid Hand was fantastic on all accounts; Pressure, juggling, mixups, and it had decent frames to boot.

Forceballs - Why in the blue fuck does he cradle the damn things in MKX? In MK9, he starts them right IN FRONT of him. Makes perfect sense and made it a bit more safe. Were fantastic for zoning and pressure alike, and the EX version was just awesome.

B4 - I really miss beating someone and then spamming that saying "Look, I'm taking a nap!" over and over. Not that big of a deal, though.

There's not one thing you liked better about your character from the previous game that's assuming that they were in MK9,

I miss Kabal. I Miss Raiden teleport from MK9. I think it's stupid how you have to EX now. I like Kung Lao better in MKX. I was annoyed with Mileena in MK9 but I like her much better now. I do think her overhead needs to be a little better but besides that, I think she is fun to play.

I Like Sonya better in this game even without the OP cartwheel. She still really good. I like the new characters besides Kung Jin.

I mean this is a much better game to me imo. Way more technical. I would love for Kabal, Noob, Sareena, Havik, and Fujin to be in it though.

I went back to play MK9 on Monday, and I realized that I like MKX much better.

And his stupid floaty dance walk... I can't stand that, haha. Other than that, I really like the new badass Liu Kang. This is the first game where I've actually liked him.

But to answer the OP... I liked Reptile's Klassic skin. I really hate his new beak face. Like, a lot. It's so goofy-looking. Yet this is still the best he's ever been. I'm so torn!

Am I really reading about people who want MK9 Sub Zero and Raiden back instead of the MKX version? I don't even know what to say about that. Their redesign is about as good as it gets. Visually they are far superior and the fact that both characters are actually GOOD in this game should also count for a lot. I won't even mention the fact that they're both way more fun to play, in my opinion.

I think a lot of us are looking back at MK9 with some real rose-colored glasses on.
