Hey guys, I am not the best at fighting games so please excuse my lack of knowledge. But when you WC with D'vorah does the combo get reset to where the hits don't keep counting in a row? I keep trying to WC but my combo resets, which means that it isn't continuous and gives a chance for them to block, right?
When you first practice it, practice on a dummy set to auto block because the dummy will auto block if you miss the cancel window and you can practice stopping your 212 follow thru at 21. In terms of run cancels, I would say f2,2, is the easiest followed by f,1,1 then 1,1,2 then f4, and finally b1 being the hardest.

I got bored and tried to find a use for b3 today, and in the corner it looks like it doesn't mess with the gravity much at all in 212 xx db1 combos. You can do stuff after like d1, f44, b12 throw. Might be worth looking into further.

Funny I was messing with b3 stuff also yesterday. Key thing about the move being 0 on block. If you can prevent people pressing buttons at that range (which isn't too hard with her long range normals) then you can get decent mileage out of it.
 
Any advice on how to execute 112xxWGRC, 212 consistently? I almost always get f22, and that's when I can even get the Run Cancel out of Wasp Grenade.

EDIT: Now I'm having trouble cancelling 112 into Wasp Grenade. *moans in frustration*

It is done differently than the others. You have to do 1,1,2 when you visually see the 2 connect, then you do df1. If you do it as a string 1,1,2 x df1 you will not be able to connect 212 after the cancel. So its 1,1,2 pause then df1, dash/run cancel, 212 ...

112 is a late cancel, so you can't buffer dash too soon, or it unbuffers the special move.

The problem is it's a tighter window than most run cancels, so unless you're on Hitbox, it's going to be rough.

I am not trying to start anything, I just think when you say buffer in the run (either too soon or too late), it confuses most people. They will attempt to buffer in the run, like they do specials in strings and that will lead to wasp grenade never coming out. For example if you enter f2,2, df1, ff, block as a string, wasp grenade never comes out. You should think of it as 2 separate strings. f,2,2 df 1 (hold 1) and f,f block, 212....

Can we agree to say that you can never buffer dash in wasp cancel string? You enter dash on the start up of wasp cancel, not before. You do not buffer it in the input stream, otherwise it removes wasp grenade from the string. Its a cancel off of wasp grenade that may feel like you buffered it, but thats only because run is not instant, it has start up frames that are not animated but hidden by the wasp grenade animation.

I cant stop doing Krayzie's corner anti wakeup setup combo. Even if they'd die on the last few hits of the 52% I just help it because the other one is too damn good

So out of fear for my pad and sanity I put the controller down and forgot to check damage, but this works midscreen:

f11 xx ex wasp, jip, f44, f44, run, f44, WC, b12 throw

Pretty sure you can get a 4th f44 instead but I gave up on that one for now.

Was some of D'Vorah's frame data changed/corrected in this patch?

I could swear her 2,1 was 0 on block and now it is -2

Also 1,1,3 and standing 2 are both +2 on block.

One of the changes did effect her. This one in particular:
  • Corrected many normal attacks that were intended to be 0 or negative on block were being overridden to be +2
Many characters (Kung Jin, Kano, etc) had normals and strings that were coming out and on hit/block were resetting the frame data to +2 or 0 when they were supposed to be more negative.

How are you starting combos with F44? What are you setups for this. I am trying to find these situations and take advantage.

I usully start my combos with F11 F22 and 212 using F44 mainly to punish people if I have no meter (or I don't want to use it) or if I think they could jump (when I start a combo with F44, if they are able to block, I always use a WGC even if I lose 2% damage on my combo since the string will be safe).
At any rate F11xx MBDF1 is probably the best punisher given the fact that you can run toward your opponent pushing him in the corner from half screen before starting the combo.
Another good combo is F44 F44 F42 D1xx DB4 (35%) if you want to switch sides.

I noticed that during his on stream matches, PimPimJim was doing double swam vortexes in his combos. He's was doing 212, db1, db1 f(3)4, b12. In that string the 3 of the f3,4 would whiff. I don't know if by doing that if the damage scaling gets reduced and therefore increases damage. I am just trying to figure out why he kept doing it. I tried it at home but I couldn't get the 3 to whiff and I was getting about 30%, so it didn't seem like an optimal combo. Any one have any ideas.
 
F11 wc f44 starter can get you a nice 38% meterless.

F11 wc f44, f44, f42, b12 grab.
the b12 was very tough to land for me at first, but now i do f11 wc f44, f44 wc f42 b12 and it lands 8 times out of 10. since the wc gets me closer for final f4 hit.

I have no idea. I think he was just trying to be swaggy. I wish he would do more optimal combos though.

Has anyone gotten f44 to connect off b1 wcs? I can connect it off f22 but idk if it works with b1.

Also how different is the timing on f44 f44 f42 b12 on females compared to males? I can't get the 2 in b12 to hit on Cassie :(

I don't know if this will work for b1 wasp cancel, but I found out accidentally that off of f22 wasp cancel, if you enter f+block+4 simultaneously as the last input of the run cancel you get f4 to come out instantly. Never tried it with back 1 because trying to hit block and 4 at the same time while holding one is like playing twister with my fingers on my stick setup.
