Match Footage - Swarm Queen D'Vorah: Tournament Footage

Nice Dvorah gameplay man. Really impressed with how quickly this community has picked this great character up. Great testament to the hard work you guys put forth :).

Hey Krayzie, digging the D'vorah gameplay. I noticed you going to EX throw resets after 212~db1, njp. Were you aware you can actually do 212~db1, njp, f34, then throw and get an extra five percent? Or is there some other reason that makes that a bad option?

Just throwing in that after f34, I think you can do 212 db1 which is also a reset

F34 is the best option.

I wasn't doing it because I kept getting a jab but that's my error. I'll be using F34 from here on though. :)

Can't they delay wakeup?
Yes, the set up catches a lot of people off guard however. Also if you expect an armored wakeup, NJP is really good in this game and beats out a huge amount of armored wakeups. A simple NJP can stuff their wakeup if timed right, so just the knock down mind games to play.

Blind Ducky is mastering D'vorah's pressure and it shows. Here are the Winner Finals and Grand Finals at BLTB 48

Two of the most notable things that we can all use in our gameplay:

#1- Use b1 WGC for PRESSURE instead of combos. Watch how he carries pressure and uses it as a safe block string rather than combing off of it. Opens up more mixups and less opportunity to punish.
#2- Opt for lesser damaging combos rather than the extreme execution but higher damage combos.

With that said, Ducky could improve on using f44 ovi in enders rather than b12 air throw for damage sometimes. Gotta mix it up with the hard knock downs. And also 21u3 air throw in the corner, NOT b12 air throw. You lose at least 3%.

Great stuffy though, I'm extremely impressed. Major shout outs to @Blind_Ducky and his great playing.

I'm not using b1 cancel for pressure. It's not hitconfirmable. So I'm either hitting them and fucking up the cancel or they blocked and im doing it anyway because it's not possible to confirm it. Although it's possible to use any cancel for pressure despite all cancels, except f112, being negative. They happen so fast with so little block stun that it's hard to react to. Also if they're respecting you even though you're negative, you can keep doing stuff.

I don't like ending in ovipositor unless I have to like off a random conversion. Id rather get the damage and go back to dominating in footsies. If I need a set up I'll end in sweep and go for a mix up or mb grab. Also thanks, I'll mess with the 21u3 ender after work. Any other criticism or questions are welcome.

Just got back from Texas Showdown. Went 2-2. Here is my stream match and some other dvorah players matches. My WG cancels werent there this weekend so I opted to use venomous instead. There were some swarm queens but they were in the later pools that were not streamed.

Unfortunately got 4th this time.

First time playing against Jax. I love Tyrants heavy weapons Jax though.

And then I got eliminated by Chefs Quan... I hate Quan... lol

I've never played against a Quan, and I know there are a few of them in southern VA where TCW is gonna be. I cant make it down there to get practice against him since I'm in northern VA(4hr trip), so do you have any tips for fighting him???

Also I have faith in you Krayzie, you'll get it next time. Gonna watch the vid when I go to lay down.

I'm hoping its easier now since the patch came out.

That bat was a big problem, and not just for D'Vorah... lol

Good luck though!
