The MKX Frame Data Testing and Corrections Thread

Hey Everyone,

So as we're all aware, there's a bunch of frame data in the game that's not up to date yet (including some very key moves and normals).

So what I'd like to do in this thread is list things for each character that have been carefully tested and aren't in line with the reported frame data in-game.

For those who have taken things into practice and worked out approximations for what the frame data really may be, please post the info in this thread and I'll add it to the OP.

Thanks!

KOTAL KAHN
EN Overhead Sword Strike - Approx. -14 on block

KUNG JIN
f3 - Approx. +3 on block

TAKEDA
d3 - Approx. 0 to -2 on block

EN Teleport - Approx -12/-13 on block

RAIDEN
b34 - Approx. -8 to -10 on block (and hits Low, Mid)

SUB ZERO
f33 - Approx -2 or -3

For Raiden, his B3 4 string is listed in the game data as an overhead (first hit is the low, second is "overhead") and the block data is neutral.

Yet, I've been punishing with reversals ranging from six to eight frames, so it seems it's actually somewhere between -8 and -10. And the "overhead" is actually a mid.

The first time I saw this string in Raiden's move list, I figured I could retreat to it as a safe option if I was not confident in my B3 low hitting the opponent, since the B3 3 string is listed as -16 on block and it's not too good for a hit-confirm. Then I tested and was like, "..."

Orrrrr, you guys can check this out and we work as a team for it. I have absolutely nothing to gain out of this except for getting the correct frame data for the characters I'll wind up using whenever I get the game. There is no known way other than counting it frame by frame manually and you should all know by now that NRS will not put in the time to do this for you:

I'm leaving this offer open to Wednesday latest. If its less than 5 videos/characters sent, then I will do those, and then call it a night

JC Stunt Double is really wrong in game!
Mimic Shadow kick is something like +8 on block, ex rising shadow is +a LOT on block.

Things like that are expected to be this way.
Remember that moves with a lot of active frames will have various plus/minus depending on how late in the move's animation it will initiate blockstun on the opponent.

KK's sword looks like a move like that. Mimic discharges and Ferra toss are definitely like that.

Now actual correction: Raiden's EX TP has more than 0 frames of startup. Startup exists and you can see Raiden armoring through stuff with it. This means full duration is longer than those 7-8 frames listed as a recovery.

F2 on Shinnok (Imposter/necromancer) says +2, but Reptile's Slippery Slide punishes it like a gap in a string. I only tried it for imposter, and I'm assuming it would be the same for necromancer.

I'd say it's -5 tbh if it's being punished and armored.

Is ermac b32 on block accurate
I always feel like I'm at disadvantage after blocking it and stuck in block stun
Most I can get out is 10f-11f punish but that block stun always fucks me up

Is Mileena's X-ray really -20 on block? Even when blocking it in the corner, my 12f reversal couldn't punish.

Kenshi Srubtastic,Cyrax, Special Forces Mains
Check Mileena's Ballroll on block, F143 on block, F234 on block, and sky drop on block
Preds, B2D3 on block
Tremors, 12D3, DD1(aftershock), DB2, BF2, 21D4U4, all on block cept DD1 on recovery

IIRC Correctly Sub-Zero's F4 data doesn't make it look like one of the best moves to cancel into a special and you can even cancel cryomancer's hammer plus it's the only way to make grandmaster's clone safe.

Edit: Yup, it states that it has 18 cancel and 1 hit advantage when that can't reach the hammer's 36 frames of start up by a long mile.
