Video/Tutorial - Scorpion Buffering run cancel in block stun to extend the range of 1,1 for punishers.

Not sure if this is known but I think this is pretty huge for Scorpions punishment. Found this out while testing Sub Zeros B2.

Hopefully I've explained it well enough in the video, but basically what you do is buffer in a run into your block recovery you can extend the range of his standing 1 strings to increase the damage over using F3.


This does work for his other strings as well, with standing 1 being his fastest launcher the time for doing the run cancel is going to affect it less.
 
Nice Vid. Yeah distance with punishing is a real issue with, like, every character I feel. Everything that's fast enough to punishing with seems to not be able to get there from all the push back.

Side note, I like to use 123 tp. Commit string, but you can cancel tp if the punish didn't connect.

I've been doing this to punish Erron's annoying F4 move everytime i block it, since normals can't reach it, if you buffer a run cancel in the block stun you will be able to land a standing 2.

Now its a matter of finding similar situations and see what this tech can punish, specially against those characters who have insane pushbacks where F3 has more reliable range i believe it can be easily replaced by this.

This is very useful against Kung Jin BOJITSU
