My friend said he got to 60%+ before the damage scaled and it stopped doing damage.
That's actually not much better than som other characters are capable of in the corner. They do so for 1 bar at least though, while this one only builds quite a bit of meter. Then there's an option to lock for timeout - that's definitely not ok.

Yea, yea, I know it's funny to see someone going this shit for 1.5 minutes straight, but hypothetically... :p

This infinite does not mean she is viable, in that we agree. We all know that its mere time before it is removed and is a non factor in competitive play. HOWEVER....

To the Kitana's out there that said she was BAD and had NOTHING to find, remember something. It was said that there was 0.0% chance that anyone would ever find anything game breaking, which we now see was a false statement. This discovery leads to one question... What else does she have that we don't know about? After the discovery of the infinite, no Kitana player can say "but there is nothing to discover".


Does she need help? Yes? No? Maybe? Who knows because its just past week 2. I know this much.. You want help? How about you come off that 40% or more meterless damage? How about you come off the best back walk in the game? How about you come off the best jumping in the game? How about you come off the best air projectile in the game? Obviously you dont want to.. You want the best back walk, best jump, best air projectile, and very high METERLESS damage - PLUS a buff of better offense. Most (not all) of you are literally saying "YES!! WE WANT THE BEST DEFENSIVE TOOLS AND GREAT METERLESS DAMAGE AS WELL AS HIGH POWERED OFFENSE!!!"... To those who say that, I nominate you all for "Fool of the Week".

People can still say "there's nothing VIABLE to discover". An infinite isn't viable 'cause it gets patched/hotfixed out eventually and is banned until said patch/hotfix occurs. Until that's proven otherwise, people can and will continue to say there's nothing worth discovering.

I don't think Kitana should be offensively aggressive at all. She could use a tweak or two here and there, but she doesn't need shit to make her another 50/50 character.

I think the reason some people think that now is because like you said it's only just past week 2. 50/50's are always strong at the earlier stages in a fighting game and once people start learning to block and look for the mix ups it won't be all about the best 50/50's. It will be more about match up knowledge and knowing your opponent. With that being said I can't wait to see how this game looks and plays further on down the timeline.

Best jump in the game? Really? I'd disagree with that. Her jump in punches are sub par, and her form in the air lends her to getting caught by attacks due to her leg stretching down on jump back and jump in. Yes she has great tools in the air, but shes not the only one
 
Lmao thanks but I only got to 300 something... That 1400 I just made the ai do it by recording...that would be some great execution though.
I couldn't get the AI to record properly for the life of me.

I hope this gets patched. At least they banned it from the tournament for now.

Lol. I know who you are and respect your position but some if what you said is just wrong. Walk speed maybe, jump not really, and I love breaking games down but damn do yall (MK Community) love yall's preventative systems. I was able to find the infinite cuz of my ignorance as an MK player and stubbornness to refuse to believe a game could be so limited. After TheRawDeal kept trying to convince me to use Mournful I went to test his stuff out. My first day with that variation, more like this past Monday night early Tuesday morning, I find an infinite with that same ignorance and stubbornness that appears to be more of a glitch more than anything else cuz for whatever the hell reason NRS doesn't believe in using frame data to make the game more interesting combo wise. Kitana is lacking, we are asking for an OH thats worth a damn cuz it would help since her fans don't hit Mid but force the opponent to duck. If her fans were Mid her neutral wouldn't have such glaring holes in it and everything else could be warranted but then people would say she's too good right?

Also I doubt anyone said something as dumb as there'd be nothing game breaking found and if so that was debunked well before my infinite. Ermac meter build and Liu Kangs block infinite would fall under game breaking as well.

She also isn't the only character in the game getting 40% meterless so come off that bullshit

She does need f22 alterations. Such as it comboing into fan toss mid screen. And fans to be -7. This will help so she's not stuck with 5% and if block she's at -100. Or make f22 -6

Mid fans might be making her too good. But kano has mid knives so maybe its all right

I really feel like everyone that's hearing a request for a reliable OH is not really understanding what's being asked. Giving her that as a tool would not make her a rushdown character. That would be another aspect of frame data. She doesn't have those fast frames to be a rushdown 50/50 it would be simply to help her since these strong points everyone keeps making, sarcasm, are just so good.

If she's good as far as her normals go now then she needs mid fans, which would make Mournful better if the glaive wasn't so slow on startup and recovery in the air.

If her neutral is good as is now then she needs normals to compensate for the holes. I mean really it's not like you need to jump on her So she's only covering a small aspect of the game

I don't know the details but it's an infinite and that's stupid.
I also can't see how having 40% meterless is good if her normals are so rubbish that eventually she won't be able to do anything. Same thing happened to Jade and they "fixed" her by making her damage weaker and her only good normal hit high instead of mid.

They have purpose but that depends on the game. I agree they would be stupid here with how damage scaling works and the system itself. What I was asking, to be more clear, is if they were going to count reps to determine a win/loss status. I put out a video showing some combos she could perform because of the infinite that were very tamed.

sorry if this has been discussed already or already found out but I thought I'd just shed light on how broken this move is.

Nothing pisses me off more than when I spend my hard earned meter on an EX Glaive and it doesn't return! I've also noticed that if the opponent teleports the Glaive has a high probability of not returning as well.

thats the one thing i feel everyone is neglecting to pay attention to. Like, mournful mains can't even attempt to zone/try to start offense because the move is bugged. Everyone's talking about her needing 50/50's and better f22 in some way as changes, how about a FUNCTIONAL EN PROJECTILE IN ONE OF HER VARIATIONS.
