For the second week in a row, KIT @FOREVER KING conquers Atlanta and pillages the loot! We from the Yomi Gaming lounge would like to congratulate this warrior for his victory in a hard-fought Grand Finals with Hitbox Tyrant! Similar to last week, a $1,000 pot bonus was at stake, and that prize has been claimed by the glorious king.

Our vibrant game room became the equivalent of a volcanic eruption as a portion of the California scene's talent blended in with the Atlanta players. History would receive new pages as unforgettable moments were carved freshly into the minds of the competitors and viewers alike. For anyone wondering about the lack of an article for the previous week, we did not have an archive to include with the post due to the broadcast not being saved, so we felt that an article would lack the shine we wish to cast across the scene. This we apologize for, but we have resolved the issue and will be sure to keep you updated on what happens every week! :)

Congratulations again to Forever King. Until next Tuesday, guys!

Congrats to King, but the highlight of the night was you telling Sonya to get back in the Kitchen and Pig's salty pop offs Lol. I'm definitely going to be watching and supporting these every week.

I love that CD Jr and Tyrant are playing Jax again. After seeing Jr play him at the Break and Tyrant here (THAT COMEBACK AGAINST MIKE'S QUAN!), it makes me want to play that character so bad. His f+2,1 run cancel midscreen shit is so difficult to me, though. I can't get the hang off it.

To the "where are the viewers" people -- this broadcast got up to 3,700 viewers (and did it while The Break was simultaneously pulling another 500 away). That's a ton for a local. The scene is alive and well :)

Done with MK1. Stop supporting a scam company
Blake's Raiden is awesome. Why does he use displaced even though he doesn't teleport that much?

You must not have watched all of the playlist. I make frequent use of Raiden's teleports, particularly to avoid the corner.

It's just that it's not like his MK9 teleport...at all. In the last game, his teleport started up in one frame and had invincibility. He was only prone to punishes as he was reappearing, and even then, he didn't have all that much recovery. Compared to most teleports in that game, his was relatively safe.

But in MKX, it is an extremely different story. Now, the teleport can be stuffed on start-up and has more recovery, so unless you're willing to burn a bar for armor you're going to have to be discreet with your teleports.

This doesn't render it useless, though. I intend to exploit it as a hit-and-run tool with certain blockstrings once I do some labbing.
