General/Other - Jax Jax little too Safe?

I'm the type of person that after he losses against a good character ill go striaght to the lab and look at what blew me up and how i can punish or deal with it. I just got bodied from a wrestler JaX and as i went to the lab almost choked when i saw JaX's frame data:

90% of hes specials are safe on block or even + :
Is Energy Wave is +8 on block (can only be neutral ducked)
Dash punch is -6 so -5 since u need 1 frame to release block also has a huge pushback
But You can punish the overhead dash punch so its guessing either neutral duck to avoid the dash punch or the +8 energy wave to punish or ge smashed with the overhead and eat a 30% combo.
Mayor Pain Which is a Up knee Attack is -7. 70% of the cast can't punish this
Gotcha Grab which is a "grab" move that for some reason is safe on block -3.
Quad grab gives Him a tick throw

Only 2 strings are actually unsafe on block :

Both 12 and 11 can be safely canceled into dash punch to make them safe. 11 is 0 on block ,
btw 1 is 5 frames.

the "semi unsafe" ones
B3 - fullstring(s) B34 -14 and B3D2 0 on block
b12 - the full string b121 is 0 on block
32 - the full string 323 is -3 on block btw a High low Overhead
F3 1+3 - F3 one block can be canceled into quad grab for a tick throw
F4 1+3 - F4 on block can also be canceled into quad grab for a tick throw

Soo Is it just me or is this a little too much for one character?

yea but Overhead dash punch...
I mean I never really support 50/50 games with such high damage as mk, but thats the game. That's why you don't have to pushing the dash punch everything. You can punish it when it "matters", when you pick up a certain pattern when they do it, its all about adaptation. Maybe you want to punish him every time to make him afraid, then when you think hell do over head, then I think you can punish by blocking (not sure). I mean in term of pure gameplay, the guessing game is in your favor

floe and cdjr have both said he is a contender for #1. dont know about other top mk/igau players but i mean hard to argue with the numbers. ill say personally that, in a game that is full of some really godlike strings, jax's f21 stands out as one of the best. so many options

And they didn't.

floe and cdjr have both said he is a contender for #1. dont know about other top mk/igau players but i mean hard to argue with the numbers. ill say personally that, in a game that is full of some really godlike strings, jax's f21 stands out as one of the best. so many options
F21 xx Db1 does over 20% and you basically get it for free most of the time online.
 
I was hoping he would say no when I asked him if he thinks he's the best in the game. Anyway can we stop making threads about so and so character is too good, and instead make threads about how to get the worse characters to that level. I'm really more of the buff the bad characters rather than Nerf the good characters mindset. The two best jaxes I have seen both lost at locals last night.

And Jax putting you in 50/50 situation with OH dashfist or ewave after f21 is fine considering MKX puts a heavy emphasizes on 50/50 mixups anyway. And tbh from what I can tell at the moment, majority of cast has a solid corner game. Nah, Jax is perfectly fine.

There's solid corner games and then there's Jax's corner game lol

NRS was thinking "hmmm JaX is not a combo heavy character like the rest of th Cast except in the corner so lets just give him Godlike Frame data , a thick throw and supermans f23".

i think two weeks in it is becoming more and more apparent that NRS+testers didnt fully suss out everything that running is capable of. the stuff like cassie cage flipkick into run was clearly intended but some of these midscreen combos, raidens vortex, kenshi's punishability, etc. i do not think was considered

While i am by no means a godlike Kano player, i find Jax to be difficult to zone and even harder to play footsies with. His corner game is nutty. His f212 string beats out a lot of moves, advances him forward, can blow up nuetral jumps, and is basically a pain in the ass.
 
All gaps he has when he run cancels Rocket launcher are jab punishable or armorable. F3 and F4 into throws are armorable (its -14). D12 is -8 people are just mashing or not respecting it. B34 has a gap and is backdashable or armorable into full punish.
It really was shocking with how many blocked d12s Tyrant was getting away with yesterday. It would get block, and he would just continue pressuring with standing 11 like the shit was plus.
