Yea happened to me too, the block button is stuck and I can't unblock half the time or block when I need to

I got GUMMO ps2 converter in the mail yesterday and it doesn't work

Instead of "who's next" for me it's "what's next?"
I ordered a Pelican ps2 converter thinking it would work because it has a PS button on the converter. No dice, so disappointed.

I think you can open the PS4 pad, take out the small hinge from the broken R2 button, and it will work again.

I received it in the mail yesterday, I tried it before the local yesterday and was very disappointed it did not work.

I turned on my ps 4, plugged in ps2 pad to converter into the system and it asked me to press the home button. I pressed start and select together and nothing, I pressed start then select....nothing, I reverses and did select then start....nothing. I tried pressing at same time and holding ...nothing. The pad shows power but I tried every combination of button pressing and holding and could not get past the "press home button to activate controller" screen

So goes without saying I was extremely discouraged, I asked GUMMO could it just be a bad converter or defected and he asked me to plug into a PC and see if
It registers as having 14 buttons and seeing if 9 lights up as start and 10 as select

I didn't have time at the moment to try all this and will later today,
I'm not sure how to get a screen on my PC to see what he's asking for but hopefully I'll figure it out

Between controllers, converters, and etc I've had an utmost unenjoyable experience trying to start out in MKx

Having one thing go correctly on the first try would he greatly appreciated soon
Was it made using the DS4 PCB or HFC4? If it was made using the HFC4 PCB, there's a switch on the converter to change it to ps4 mode, that's how he made mine.

Sounds like he did not put a dedicated home button on the convertor and decided to go with the macro of start and select. So if one of them (start or select) lost a solder connection home wont register.

As a work around have you tried syncing your ds4 and signing into a profile. Then plug in your converter into the usb port. At that point hit the home button on your ds4 and turn off the ds4. Maybe the plugged in convertor will be recognized and you would not have to hit home. I will try some things when I get home this evening and see if I can find a work around for you until your converter gets fixed.

nah, that just makes it worse. also if it's the hinge that the spring hangs on it'll work until you push it 1-2 times, then the spring will fall out

that happened to me, i just bought some replacement triggers off of ebay. costed like $3. i still miss my ps2 pad pretty bad though

Just tried didn't work

I also tried to see if it would register or work on PC

It came up as "ps4 MKx fight pad" but not one direction or button registered or worked in game or under properties for the device when trying to calibrate it

I then tried my inpin and it did immediately work w ease just to compare

As much as some don't like the MKX fightpad i have had the pleasure of not using my ds4 at all. sorry guys for your R2.

The Hori FC4 works great for me. If you haven't tried it yet I definitely recommend it. I can reliably do all kinds of technically difficult stuff with mine, and I was almost tempted to replace my stick with it for USF4.

if you dont have warranty there are lots of spare parts sold on ebay. if your from the uk there is a modified make called Tuff Triggers who place a metal bar inside the plastic hinge

I'm wondering how people break their controllers so fast.
Like, do you people use excessive force on it?
I extensively used my triggers in other games (Like DBXV) with no issues.

Same thing with the rubbers, for some people they have been breaking off after like a week or 2.
I had my 2 controllers since the PS4 launch and only very recently have they started showing wear and tear (the analog sticks that is).
While they have been in almost daily use.

Like, what the hell are people doing to break their controllers?
its just bad design. they no longer use metal for the hinges. i think they didn't stress test it enough or took into account one side of the trigger taking more stress than the other. i dont get to play games too often and have never broken a controller before.

when playing earlier today my R2 button broke. Its now wonky and doesn't release. After looking into it, this has happened to many people (some having them replaced 6 times!) the hinge for the R2 button is made of plastic unlike the dualshock 3 which uses a metal bar.....cheers Sony.
if your a PS4 pad payer then be wary as this is probably the most R2 intensive game. im considering changing block to R1 from now on.
i hope you guys dont have the same problem i have!

if you do have this problem and are no longer covered by warranty there are plenty of spare parts on ebay, although itl likely happen again at some point. if you're good with your hands and got the tools you can drill a small hole in the exiting hinge and place a metal rod inside for a permanent fix
Happened to two of my controllers when injustice came out on ps4..

man i wish i had one. i dont trust myself to do the soldering.
Yeah the only thing I didn't do was wire it up. I sent it to Gummo so he could basically tri-mod it for me. It runs on xbox 360/ps3 (via ps360+) if I plug in my hitbox without hitting any buttons. If I hold 3 while plugging it in, it will work on ps4, and if I hold 4 while plugging it in, it will work on xb1. I already had the ps360+ from my old horrible hitbox (typically referred to as the shitbox) and it was 260 (that covers him shipping the box back) to add the ps4/xb1 PCBs to it. It was expensive, but I had been saving up for it for a little bit so it wasn't a huge blow to my finances when it came time to do it.

Have you considered the Hori FC4 coming out next Tuesday? I read good things about it, I can't stand the DS4 personally, so I'm gonna give that pad a shot and see how it goes.

-edit-

Looks like someone else mentioned it to you already. =P
