MORTAL MAY-HEM! May UMK3 MAME Tournament May 30

Last night we wrapped up a Epic tournament where @Drakonian survived a near double dip from @mortal_jason out of the loser's bracket to take Grand Champion of the April UMK3: Bottom 10 tournament!

unfortunately @NoDoubt wasn't able to make it and @NobilityV3 got the date wrong. But after about two and a half hours we got things wrapped up, took a little break, then enjoyed an hour or more of 2v2 casuals on kailerra server, joined by @nwo

I haven't gotten to see any playback of tourney videos, but I used mainly Unmasked Subzero and Scorpion. My Mileena saw a little action, but ultimately I was done in by @mortal_jason 's Mileena and @Sharks_Breath 's Cyrax. But even as a Human Smoke main, it was awesome to get some time in with lesser used characters. I hope the match play videos will show that lower tier characters deserve some love too!

So for Mortal May-hem, I think it would be cool to do another mix up so we don't automatically see another kabal/smoke/ermac/nightwolf finals.

Which would we rather see?
"Winner fights noob saibot" - The loser of the match picks noob saibot while the winner sticks with their character. If the winner wins this fight, they get a point for the match (yes, 1 point for winning 2 matches). If noob wins, no point is given and the fighter selection resets.

Or, just random select for the whole tournament?

Yeah. Good times and good games to all. Thanks to @tehdrewsus for all the effort in making it happen. Personally, I think Random-ing the whole tournament would be a good way to go because the odds are even for someone getting a character they are better with over others. Another good idea is Randper-ing the whole tournament too. That is something that would require the kombatants to be good with pretty much all the characters. Of course, you could say the same thing about Random-ing, so either way. I would prefer Randper-ing. That would be more fun.

2v2, random select, randper kombat kode? That would be insane.

Except for that Shang morph lock though.

Yes. Shang Tsung would be the exception...unless the player happens to be good with Shang, then it would work in their favor...maybe.

Tourney canceled. Not much interest. Thanks for those that replied, and for those that couldn't bother to at least reply with a 'no', thanks... This kommunity is alive and well thanks to folks like yall
