Any tips on getting ij2 consistent? Sometimes I just miss the early "cancel" timing. I've found that it helps to start from when you're ducking (kinda like super jumping in Marvel) but its not yet to a consistent level that I can comfortably punish in tournaments.

What you need to do is find someone WITH the phone game and all the unlocks, get THEM to log in with YOUR wbid and do one match (on the mobile game). The next time you log into your console game you will have all the unlocks.

No one wants someone else to have their wbid logged into someone elses console.
Actually, people make a WBID that they specifically made to share with other people. It's really common nowadays.

I am having an extremely hard time punishing really obvious things because it feels like my limbs are to short especially with Lui kang what do you guys use for punishment ?

I recently realized it is a pretty good way to get out of a blocked F2,2,U3. If done high enough ass will take you farther away than float/air fan pushback
I'm pretty sure a whiffed ass still had over 30+ frames of recovery. Once you do this a few times, you opponent will catch on and just run over to you after the f22u3. I've tried using it as a get-away option and learned very fast that an opponent that utilizes his run will be able to catch you, or at least close the gap right back up before you can even recover.

We need those Sonya blade whiffed dive kick recovery frames for this move. I'm confused as to why it's so awful on whiff

Fuck, seriously, is that the only way? they don't have the app for windows phone.

Anyway, what are people doing to punish? specifically I had trouble with inferno scorpion 's blocked teleport? at first I was able to do a silly f43 combo but that seemed to stop working.

After they teleport I usually go for a 111 df1 run JiK AF and then maybe a dash into f4 air lift
Or you could go 111 df1 run f43 f4 airlift JiK AF and a finisher; something along the lines of f4 into throat slice or assassin strike

Triple 1 into df1 seems to punish most of everything involving a special move.

QFT, Kitana is amazing. I mean she can punish you for 40% or ~40% each time someone whiffs or you block a 50/50. She has amazing zoning capability, and can punish fullscreen with Assassin Strike on abilities like D'Vorah's vortex.

I swear her Assassin specific brutality (Lost Girl) used to be doable without the sharpen boost if you used EX Assassin Strike and held forward when you landed on the other side. Now sharpen is required all the time and you don't have to hold forward. I mostly use Mournful now so I haven't been paying attention, did this get changed in one of the recent patches or am I just tripping?

Nevermind, just went back and looked at some old footage, it's always been like this...

Unless you have the reactions of an immortal you aren't punishing D'Vorah's vortex from full screen. You're doing it on a read or getting full combo punished.

Both 11 & f11 should punish Mileena's ground ball & telekick. Unfortunately, since I have to get up in the morning, I can't test f11 to be 100% sure, but 11 will most definitely.

EDIT: f3 will also punish those moves.

Unless you have the reactions of an immortal you aren't punishing D'Vorah's vortex from full screen. You're doing it on a read or getting full combo punished.
I just tested it out against one of my friends who was doing other moves fullscreen so I wasn't expecting it. I was reacting to it almost every time because its start up is so long (have to do it in the early startup frames for them not to block). You can react to it even in the corner up close.

EDIT: f3 will also punish those moves.
Since uppercut punishes it (12 frames) vs the f11(8frames) it should punish it every time.

It's cool I got ya. I just tested both Tele Kick (-19 on block -8 on hit) and Ball Roll (-31 on block +58 on hit) and like I said she's very punishable. For both I was able to get F43, F112, and 111. On the Ball Roll you can also get F33 but not on Tele Kick since there is more of a gap. For all the punishes though you want to kinda wait till she's about to touch the ground because if you do it too early some attacks whiff.
