Pretty character dependent. Because they're jumping and cannot block, it leaves them open to special move attacks since they regulate a lot of space. You can always trip guard them as well. (hit them with something on their landing frames of recovery) Or you can run up jump kick or run up and uppercut.

It's typically a keep out technique. So it's not gonna hurt you unless you fall underneath it. If they abuse it then you can either punish it with a hard read or just let them land and put them in a 50/50 at worst.
Slips, a quick unrelated question: What's Scorpion's best anti-air normal? Standing 2?

Awesome job putting this show together! A huge win for the Kommunity! Thank you!

Recommendations:
-Add live exhibition matches
-Character breakdowns
-Show match footage from weeklys/majors/online sets/etc
-Pig plays opponents online (Xbox One/PS4)
^^^ all great suggestions

Will probably eventually/soonish add all of them

One thing that you did a while ago that I always really admired was your posts advising others how travel to tournaments/book hotels in a financially reaponsible way. Basically how to have fun with your hobby without breaking the bank. Just good life advice really.

You touched on kind of the same thing here by going over area representatives, which was great--a good way to get those guys' names out there and grow their scenes.

Maybe as we get closer to the majors, you could interview some TOs to talk about things like travel, hotel accomodations, etc. Maybe it's not what everyone is looking for but I think it's a good idea that the younger guys in the FGC often overlook. I know you had issues with TOs in the past or whatever but hopefully that's water under the bridge or they can just choose not to participate it's not a big deal.

Anyways, I think we can all see that you have obviously put a lot of work into this. Keep up the great work!

I'll definitely clear that up next show

Thx storms!!
I watched the whole thing last night. :)

Aside from KTP, personally, this is my favorite podcast related show... and I'm not just saying that because you show TYM so much love throughout. I'm truthfully honored that you do, so "Thank You".

Again, *mind blown*... there is not a single dull moment in this cast. It's what the NRS community needs 101. The more people that watch it and realize that it is NOT just another podcast... I don't see how they couldn't get hooked.

PS - thank you @Slips for the fundamentals tips. Someone like me struggles with this kind of stuff.

Thanks for making this Podcast series!

I just found out about The Armory Podcast with this thread. Personally I found the segment with @Slips to be very informative and helpful. I also like the presentation and format. I feel that videos like these can be a great tool for connecting and informing the players with their games and community.

Edit: I voted for 15-30 minutes for the podcast length because I think that is a digestible amount of time for new comers and for people who may be very busty and not have a lot time to sit and listen to a long podcast.

Excellent video series as I told you on Twitter via @/JoshyJPalmer @Pig Of The Hut . Glad to see this podcast shed some light on things to help beginners start out and grow the scenes by mentioning who to follow and where to look up info.

I thought it wasn't the size that counts but how u use it
I now realize that what we are talking about are two totally different subjects! @Pig Of The Hut all the girls that told you that were trying to make you feel better lol. But being serious I really enjoy videos like these. It's nice to see people in the community step out and do something like this, and open doors for people that didn't know they exist. That's awesome.

Finally got a chance to watch,

Very good episode, I like how you are making the show accesable to not only new people to MK series, but to the FGC in general. As well as keeping it interesting to the Vets or people familiar with fighting games in general.

This episode was 48 mins and was interesting from start to finish.

I really enjoyed @Slips , the way he explains things makes it easy for anyone to understand the concepts being discussed.

The only thing I would have added when talking about the frames, is that in MK, when you are in Hitstun, it's true you can't do any moves, but you can still block. I think that should have been mentioned, it may have confused some. (kinda just a nit picky thing really lol)

Great episode, great show, like I said before, this is the future, this is needed, this is awesome.

Nice job man! @Pig Of The Hut

@Pig Of The Hut , once again, excellent job. I appreciate the shoutout, but everyone should also follow @RapZiLLa54 as well.

I specifically like that you touched on commentary. I never claimed to be the best at it, but what I always tried to do was to paint a picture of what is going on. The nice part about that is that you don't even have to have full knowledge of characters, just a basic knowledge of the game and the flow of a fighting game and you can help to tell the tale on screen. I think this subject actually needs further discussion.

All in all, great job.

I agree. I much rather listen to commentators who just tell the tale of whats going on NOT "oh player A should be doing 112324343243 ex cancel into b423-*23*4 *1 and someone who feels the need to mention every input/button pressed" while that is good somtimes I love what Riu48 once said and that is commentators should just bring the hype and not always point out the negative and that is definitley what you bring to the table when you commentate.
