Scorpion Vortex

I hate scorpion. How the fuck do you get out of this vortex. Even better, how do u avoid getting put in it anyway? The slightest juggle can suck you right into this shit SMH.

This should be in Scorpion section. Better yet, go there and figure out where he has plus frames and how many, if there are gaps where you can armor etc.
 
Should it really be in the scorp section? I see that section as players playing Scorp. Any character can fight Scorp so it's more a general question. But yeah, spam teleporting Sorp is tough. If you're fighting a noob-cheeser, block is your best friend. Punish him until he stops cheesing. If fighting hellfire scorp, it does run the risk of that burn move. In that case, get mobile. IOW, learn combos that work off a JIP or JIK.

D4->F2 = unblockable. Ice Clone = unpunishable.
Fuzzy block. The overhead that puts you in another vortex can be stuffed everytime.

It's a technique to block mix ups.

So, Scorpion's low is very quick. His overhead F4 which will put you back in a vortex is slow. So, you block low at the start and let go of crouch after half a second so you block the overhead since it's slower , you'll block both options. His F2 which is much quicker will knock you down. Can't fuzzy that.

he still can delay the low starter. im thinking of blocking low and reacting to the overhead, if thats possible.

dunno if the overhead is THAT hard to react to, must try that out.
It's like 21 or 24 frames I think, pretty easy to block on reaction most of the time if you're paying attention. He can still delay the low like you said, and he could go for grab. Or cross over into 214 Minion low into combo or Minion overhead. He has quite a few options so sometimes you might want to d1 after the vortex in case he goes for the overhead or grab or delayed b3. Obviously it's risky, but that's kinda the point.

It's a good vortex, but it isn't perfect. Armor shits on it, and it can be poked out of if he goes for a slower option.

just block low you can react to the overhead that continues the vortex, the other overhead knocks you down so youre out of it
