Um like... it's true that it's hard to hitconfirm past a first or second hit, but you can quite definitively hitcofirm into combos as long as you are using more then one hit (so any string). It helps to space out the inputs as much as the game allows for the preceding string and input the directional outputs first for the special then the hit as this buys you even more time, but ultimatly ya not sure how someone who apparently is as good as you is unable to execute a basic game mechanic like hitcofirming...
You are a 100% correct like I said you can string confirm but cant hit confirm. Hitoshura was saying he can hit confirm a raw back 1 you cant hit confirm 1 normal into a special.

Why is this thread even in existence? You don't like the character, you don't think he is viable, then go find another character.
Its because I love ermac that's why I have been playing him since umk3 I wish I didnt have to choose between being handicapped at a tournament and playing my favorite character.

Ah I see, apologies, hitcofirm is used by a lot of people to just generally mean string confriming (with hit reffering to them not blocking rather then to you only using one hit) and not specifically to confirming after a single hit, though this is possibly incorrect terminology use on our part...

The mechanics of the game makes it so that canceling a normal into a special must be done immediately after the input of the first normal NOT after the hit after the input. Therefore hit confirming is impossible.
I realize you're a way better player than I, so I don't mean to be argumentative, but have you not seen the option select that everyone keeps raving about?

With Kenshi, I do B32~DB1 which is basically impossible to hit-confirm, as you said. But, I can input the entire string insanely fast, and then cancel the DB1 with a forward input if I see that they are blocking. I've been doing it all day.

I understand that. You can still play him at tourney level, you may just have to bring along some backup for him when those ass MUs appear. Even then, there's nothing stopping you from playing him, just not at "Business Time" level.

I heard that was already on the chopping block to be removed soon.

Stealth buff begging?
No it's just very easy to know your characters weaknesses and strengths it just so happens ermac's weaknesses outweigh his strenghts at least in my opinion. Some can argue his meterless damage and vortex grant his unsafeness. But to me playing as safe as possible while still applying tons of pressure is usually who ends up on the top of the tier list in most game. Like MMH and Aqua and BG and Zod in Injustice or AE Yun or Fei Long. Didnt play MK9 but im pretty sure the best in that game also had crazy pressure that was safe.

Most people dont know that Ermac had a day one nerf that took away his EX teleport armor and made it wake up only. Now his only non wakeup armor is a move that while creates distance does a laughable amount of damage for 1 bar in a game where meter is life

Confirming 1 attack on hit into a special in any MK is next to impossible. If you like ninjas, telepostrs and vortexes and want them safe, pick Scorpion. He's basically Ermac but safe.

It works for his b3.
I don't want to instigate another full blown discussion, however as i've been made to understand in MKX you have to input the next attack during the startup frames of the attack you are cancelling from, which means you have to commit before you can visually confirm if the attack is hitting, which are the active frames. Atleast it seems impossible from just one hit, regardless of how good your reactions are.(12 frames is absurdly difficult and i dare say impossibe to even hitconfirm from anyway)

If it's possible then the cancel window is extremely small from b3 which just makes it not doable at all anyway. I would very much like to see a video on the CPU with random block on and you hitconfirming from a b3.

What i however can understand is if you look at the opponent if they are standing or crouching before performing the first attack, and based on that wil decide to cancel into the next attack or not. They might still crouch during the time you inputted the first attack though.

If i'm wrong about the assumption that you have to input the next attack during the startup frames then excuse me and carry on...
