Throw Techs...C'mon Man...

You played Kitana for a couple days, dropping her because you were upset she couldn't open people up. Now throws are too good?
I didn't say they were too good. I just don't understand why you can't tech them while blocking when you already have to guess if they're going to throw and then guess again which direction they're going to throw. I abuse the shit out of throws, per your recommendation.

I also still use Kitana, thank you.

Also if you are pretty sure they're going to throw then instead of guessing on break you should duck and whiff punish. If you're letting go of block you might as well make the hard read.
That is true.

okay now knowing this works having to guess between 1 and 2 is totally okay.

If you get thrown by a character with strong offense you should be glad you got thrown instead of guessing wrong on a 50/50. If you are fighting a character without strong offense then throw is probably what they need.
And when I get thrown again? And again? And again? Just because I don't want to let go of block and eat 40% come on man.

No, you're not. You have betrayed the princess and left her court for a human commoner. The only reason you're not being executed is you're at least still playing a girl.
But I'm still using her. I try to use her first against people before switching to Jacqui. =/

Are we larping up in?!

I'm cool with the 50/50, do wish the timing window was SLIGHTY bigger though.

Stop guessing wrong?
Seriously. Where are you on the screen? Is it important to your opponent to get you to the corner? Tech towards the corner. Are they trying to get you away from them to apply zoning? Tech whichever way is gonna give them more room to back up. And that's not even the only way to blow up throws, as Bit pointed out earlier. It's fine. Adapt.

Blocking low gets blown up by overheads and throws.
Blocking high gets blown up by throws and lows.
Neutral crouching gets blown up lows and overheads.

Makes sense to me...

It's the worst aspect of this game, it's horribly designed and counter intuitive. You legitimately have to not only win a coin toss but make the read that the person is not going to stomp your ass with his mixup and take 30 or 40% of your health. SF4's tech system is perfect in comparison.

Also, pointing out a horrible mechanic is not crying, NRS has yet again made a horrible decision for the competitive player and it's objectively so. Anyone who can't handle criticism needs to hop off NRS and MK's nut sack and learn anything is fair game.

This is not street fighter, this is Mortal Kombat, different games different mechanics, stop trying to play this game as if you're playing previous games, its not the same thing.

Bruhs...I wasn't even that serious. I was salty and tired last night doe from being blown up by throws from a few players, and I was not in mind right mind you know what I'm shayin doe? I actually learned a few things about techs last night. From the sound of it aside from not being able to block they work just like MK9 which is something I can work on.

@GGA 16 Bit my b, thanks for trying to keep my head straight doe.
