Tech - Ancestral kung jin vortex

After a low starter(b13) or overhead(f2 something cant remember) xx jnto stun arrow, you can load another one and have enough time to jump in,then you have two choices. You can do a b3 which is +26 on hit for a follow up 50/50 or you can do 34 which is +21 on block but does more damage. The video is just simple combos with the vortex implemented. I dont play kung Jin ,I was just messing around in the lab with him. Hopefully you guys can find some higher damage!

There isn't really much damage he can do in Ancestral without Stun Arrow and you can't use two stun arrows in one combo lol so we are stuck with garbage damage vortex.
Yep,but it may open some more doors. Its just week 2 so ya never know what people can come up with

lol I was messing around with vortex, reset and possible infinites(though I don't see any for that thankfully which is a good thing) other day but wasn't going to say anything because so many people on here are already bitching over bojutsu's damage output. But since this is posted may as well post what I've been doing.

I definitely think he has a few vortex set ups for sure with the stun arrow. You can also mix up his highs back 2, 1~ low arrow (stun) (detonate stun arrows) cross up 1, 3, 4 low stun etc. Was also messing around with mixing this up with JK, dive kick into combo chains into stun arrows, repeat. The stun arrows and time enough to reset/detonate his stun arrows while the guy is stunned allows KJ to put some pressure in ancestral and not just zone.

Good stuff, but unfortunately still not even close to good enough to warrant use over Bojitsu (I know that wasn't the point of the thread, I'm just saying). I haven't used or seen much of Shaolin so I can't comment there but honestly as far as Ancestral is concerned the only thing it has going for it is Kung Jin's universal tools (Neutral jump, f2, b1,4 etc). Some sneaky little set ups but it requires a ton more work than Bojitsu to be made effective at high level, so I doubt most people will bother with this variation.

I think this variation is a good indicator of how Kung Jin should be (imo). He has most of the tools in Ancestral but because of how the arrows function he's going to be working to get consistent damage. I'm not saying Bojitsu doesn't have to work for damage/wins, but Ancestral seems more in line with the rest of the cast.

There it is...
Why are people saying this is OP?
its not this in particular, its that he has this, on top of having: some of the best range, air control and safe/hitconfirmable 50/50's in the game. Also he isn't very execution heavy and compared to the rest of the cast has very easy high damage combos.
