Combo List - Shinnok Shinnok Combo Thread

So whether or not anyone wants to use any of it, I modified my previous Impostor character-specific combo list to avoid using njp in combos for myself to try out when I get a chance. Updated a few other combos in there as well. Most damage loss if any is only 1-2%, but a few combos lose 5-7%, and that's without damage boost.

Can't get the necro corner combo link of 321 into 112. Is this gender/character specific? Can't hit it on Cassie, and my execution in this game so far has been decent.

Yeah I've wrote when I posted it, needs to be updated on the main post. It works only on bigger characters - Ferra/Torr, Jax, Goro, Raiden and Kotal Kahn.
 
Not sure anyway knows of this tech in bone mancer. Although the meter usage is a waste its still nice to discover new things.

No, I wasn't sure. Just tested it; it seems I was mistaken. It doesn't work on females, but it does work on smaller males (tested Kung Lao and Scorpion). I still think it's too tight to really consider using, though.
312, 112 is tight enough by itself, so yeah, probably no one will try it in a real match. Like this combo I found mid screen, from njp, d2 you can do df4ex, run and d2 again for 29% I believe. It looks cool but connecting the hand is a pain, and not worth it.

Can someone explain the combo mechanics in imposter after landing mimickery please?

i was having couple games wirh my brother. He uses quan chi, sometimes i land mimickery then go for 112 and it combos. Other times he is able to block, i mean wtf?

when i start a combo with a stolen move (quan's) and end it with mimickery it seems to combo, but whenever i do mimickery first, the 112 doesnt connect.

Im so confused, anyone care to elaborate on that please? Thank you!

You cannot ever combo after mimicry unless you stole a command grab or unblockable move, since those are unblockable and the opponent has no options except block (and these technically reset the combo count). He must just not be blocking the 112 when it works.

shinnok doesnt have a strong mix up game, what am i missing here? Or does he just simply suck?

He has mix up in Bone Shaper, but I personally prefer the zoning Necromancer. Sadly he has no overhead starters in Impostor/Necromancer, but you can always mix low and grab. You can try his vortex in Impostor. Use all his tools tho, he has so many special moves, all of which are useful.

Neutral frames? Mimicry leaves Shinnok at +104, enough time for him to teleport and go for njp or land b3 high-low mixup back into mimicry (on certain characters), as well as simply go for 16% damage throw or some decent chip with meter. Shinnok is seeming pretty weak, though. Weak mixup game aside from possibly Impostor vortex, very unsafe and limited zoning tools, low damage without damage buff from mimicry, heavy reliance on meter, non-hit-confirmable low (outside of boneshaper), weak frame data and hitboxes in general on his strings.

Hello Shinnok players, I have been involved heavily with the Mileena combo thread. I jumped in training mode a couple days ago for a little bit messing with mostly the inputs in the OP of this thread. The video was uploaded a couple days ago, almost didn't care to share it here as it was just something I did for myself, but maybe some of you will like the music, and that its under a minute long montage.

 
So the best 1 bar option from anti air hell sparks in necromancer :

db2, df4 ex, run f22 bf3/db2 - 24%

f223 into bf3 is possible, but it's really tight for 1% more, just stick to f22

I Dont know if this is known or not but I just figured out today that in bone shaper after b3 1 d2 you can get a hell sparks out or a df2 scoop after the overhead slam. So you can have a mix up with that string or f3 1 d2 by throwing the overhead and hell sparks if it connects and throw out the scoop once they expect overhead.

How the hell do you get 112 to come out after 312? I have been mashing it as fast as I can and can't do it.

Well if people would write it alongside the combos, as well as writing them in the same notation for ease, I'd just be copying and pasting :)

Hey Guys, Ive really taken a liking to Imposter Shinnok, I enjoy the 50/50 teleport mixup very much after mimicry.

I seem to be having some trouble with kung jin though.

What would be a good mimic combo to do on kung jin? Possibly a combo that leads back into mimicry but cant seem to find one with the move Shinnok copies from Kung Jin
