Strategy - Master of Storms Master of Storms - Wonders

this variation put a smile on my face every time opponent caught in trap
so i was wondering how come no-one speaks about this variation? (except that setup of tony)
is this variation really that useless? or everyone just finding more fun with the other two and didnt bother with this one?

Can't find a good way to use the orbs, but I also haven't spent much time with mos. It's been thunder god all day every day for me so far.

I dunno. Learned some cool stuff tonight. Need to play with it more before I post but Displacer is really good too. Also working on some master of storms stuff. I honestly don't know which variation is the best. I think they all might be good for different reasons.

I've gotten to attached to TG. I fee so naked without my lighting strings.

Just by looking at it, it's probably hardest one to make work. Teleport feels nerfed from MK9, so people just go with brute force, TG.
My guess at least.
 
yea but imo its the most fun one. but no matter how much time i put into it - i cant make it work vs stuff as kitana/ermac and most of the cast actually (while with other chars like shinnok im able to give a fight)
 
Mos is not as good up and up as tg and lacks the mobility shenanigans of disp, but brings weird abstract utility. If the player can get really good reads and hard knockdown setups, mos can become a nightmare, but until that point, yeah, it is the weakest of the three. You either win big or lose so badly your game violently ejects across the room as raiden comes into the room to shake his head in disappointment.

So far I'm not sure what would be MoS oki setups. I guess you can get yourself a free-ish check on wakeup in the corner after b111+3 or something, maybe you can even do something after some cancelled string... But you need to have one trap out already and many of those things you can do in this situation TG can do just as well without setups, practically on demand.

On a downer sidenote, remember how Lex didn't need to place his stuff in pairs to make difference, they lasted longer and it was in a game where it was problematic to be in your face within 40 frames unless you were using specific characters, yet Lex still struggled against characters that mattered...

He can set up full screen trap that is cool. This one will be the most technical IMO and is more defensive and offensive for setups etc
 
things the orbs could use:

1. single orbs need a hitbox ( easiest solution but won't happen)

2. Ex orbs stay active longer. You could control space this way. Similar to clone

3. When any electric beam is blocked, it could be multi hitting, locking down the opponent. This could be for advancing and pressure.

4. You should be able to control when to connect the orbs. This really bothers me

Teleport tickle fail
I think MOS can be really cool but my fear in devoting any time in it stems from my use of displacer teleport fails. Setting up traps is no quicker than teleporting so that tells me just setting up a trap leads to projectile punishment or pressure punish. In effect, this doesn't help raiden escape his biggest dilemma...recovery...

By taking MOS, you're losing mobility of displacer while zoning / mid and also losing pressure of lightning strings from TG. Unless traps were buffed to last full fights and not dissipate, I can't see this being a particularly strong variation in the face of so many superior opponent styles.

Consider it stolen lol. Seriously though that is a pretty sexy reset. Hard trying to find tech for MoS

& online I've tested it & it tricks people everytime they do a wake up , or if they are blocking just throw them which is my tech.
