Yeah I just finished watching and that was the one critique I had. I'm not sure if you already have ideas about what to put up during interview sections, but something that could be cool would be if you record a set with them and then you could have that playing during the interview, so we get to see sets with you vs these top players and learn match up specific things while listening to these interviews.

Other than that, great job again, really looking forward to the post-tournament episodes, I hope you're able to keep this going for the entirety of MKX.
Thx and good idea. I'll attempt to do that and use other characters as well so it just isn't a Kenshi show

Episodes will be more biweekly because people have to remember I gotta practice too and MU exp wise because of work and travel I feel hella behind

That will change this week

Pig, if you want to catch the mass there is some nice video examples you can put off to explain those things better with some Editing. The interview with slips was very constructive too, i just wished you guys could video example as he is going through the explanations. I'm still new to this game as well as we all, and i don't quite understand the wakeup system properly, but i will get there.

Characters and variations first, then what they can do in the system.

Also i downloaded the episode to watch it carefully and shared with the angola scene as well, if i don't feel too lazy about it, i ask permission to add legends in portuguese and re-upload it to cater players who don't understand english but follow the scene and play the game too.

A segment idea for next episode: How to use training mode. You mention going into training mode and looking at the frame data, but a quick how to guide on how to use training mode properly would be very helpful.

I really like this, happy to hear they'll keep coming out.

I'm glad people suggested a training mode tutorial, I think that will help a lot of people, and encourage them to improve. I would like to suggest not just learning it for punishes, but how to fuzzy block strings, and recognizing your general options vs any move that's troubling you. For example, I know a lot of people are salty about Goro's telestomp, but they can run out to throw off it's aim, armor, backdash, things like that.

I LOVE that you showed what a vortex is, and went through it visually as well. Maybe you could make a segment like "Pig's favorite tech of the week" and congratulate someone on a cool new combo link we haven't seen, a new mixup, option select, or just anything that really moves the game forward. Then walk people through it in training mode, maybe even have it's inventor do it with you in online training?

Lastly, shameless plug for my local results [LINK] if you would please add that to the ticker or results segment when it is up and running we'd appreciate the exposure to expand our scene.

I hatelove this game
Great show Brant. I love how easy you make it for new players to learn about the game and the overall way fighting games work. I like the 30-60 min time frame but you have so much potential content that wasn't in this one I could see it being 60 - 90 minutes easy.

Potential topic - The PS4 controller imo is terrible. What are the best solutions for people looking to buy a universal controller for both xbox and ps?

I have one more suggestion, the community NEEDS TO KNOW that in the game options they can turn on delayed pause. It makes is so you must hold the pause button for two seconds to pause during a match of any type. This prevents accidental presses of the start button to pause the game, and makes it so double tapping it resets you in training mode. I went around and did that at every single setup at out local yesterday and we didn't have a single pause problem. Other than the darn ds4 wireless situations, but those are a separate issue.

Me getting bodied by pig lol. Good vid. Can't wait till I get comfortable with the games system of everything

@Pig Of The Hut Awesome series, I strongly suggest you ask SRK/EH to promote it to and some of the other bigger names in the broader FGC, Chris G or JWong.

The cancel thing was neat, but I feel a video to supplement the explanation would be better, it felt too wordy and a bit overwhelming envisioning it in my head. Lol, and I understand frame data to an extent xD.

Keep up the superb work.

P.S. I think you should have a still banner throughout your videos until ESL ends informing to download the Blue Steel Subzero skin, for a promotion that adds to the pot, I don't see anyone promoting it :(. Not even TYM.

Awesome job @Pig Of The Hut

I saw you were getting more and more comfortable as the show went and it was cool to see

The information from you and @Slips will be crucial to the future of MKX with all of the new competitive players.

This is a good thing you're doing.

And I'm still waiting for our KJ - Kenshi set ;)

I'm questioning why you think this information will be "detrimental" to MKX
Teaching new people fundamental is detrimental to ANYTHING. It's the starting point and foundation to create great player. If you're new to the scene and don't know this information (especially the Frame Data piece that Pig went over) but you're playing against somebody who does know all this information...you'll get blown up every time and you will get demoralized and quit. But this they are like "understand this and it will help you" so the new players can at least have an idea of what to look out for

Have a double check of the definition of detrimental, I'm confused about your point and I think it might be because it doesn't mean what you think it does.
