Fradulent Players in IGAU

Kitana Prime

Top-tier at everything but the characters I choose
I just cleaned the thread and banned the smart-ass who came in with guns flaring (no offense to the Harley players).

Do us a favor, scrubs. If you're anything like the dimwit I just had to make an example of...do us a favor and stay at home jacking off to your online ego. EVO does not need to be soured by shitstains.

Have a nice day in my kingdom, peasants.

There's no such thing as a fraudulent win. If the game recognizes you as the winner, then you are the winner. If you don't like it, then you don't like the game. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Deathstroke cant be played legitimately or illegitimately. If he didnt have his guns,he would have been given something else. Nerfing his guns in the past was completely unnecessary,it was done mostly because of people not being able to adapt. If no1 played has lets say 10k wins 2k losses in ranked using the simplest tactics then by all means he has no reason to change his tactic. People arent giving him one...he is probably laughing behind the keyboard enjoying being no1 on the ranked leaderboards without being forced to improve. Should he? On player match, everyone can have a great win loss ratio, while on ranked you dont pick your opponents. A DS player who only shoots his guns, does j3s and sword flips on wakeup is no1 on ranked leaderboards? Well, people dont give him a reason to change tactics. He doesnt need to. All in all,its up to the player to adapt, and if your opponents dont adapt to a tactic of your own, then theres no reason to change it.

Thats why they call this thing bloodsport, kid.
All this thread reminds me of is when I was a kid one day playing SF2T...A friend had set up a time for us to play cuz he heard I was good and said he would destroy me with a "Secret weapon" tactic. At the time I was pretty much unbeatable at sf2t so I rolled my eyes. We sat down to play. His secret weapon? Bisons sweep, wich was that slide he does. He was under some impression it was unstoppable since he would wreck his pathetic friends with it. Naturally he couldnt take so much as a round off me, and much like ryu himself, I set off into the sunset looking for another fight.

Learn from this.

How old was the kid?

Retired forever; don’t ask for games.
I ranted about this before so I took my post down.

Here's what I really wanted to say

Frauds exist on leaderboards because if you have people who will find that one character you can abuse like shit to win a match, they'll go for it. If they are on the verge of defeat and rage quit because smashing their face against their controller to execute projectiles didn't work, all it tells you that they want to think they're skilled with having the most wins possible when in all honestly it just doesn't matter, WL ratio is nothing its all about the experience.

If they get mad and rage quit, let them rage quit again and again until they refuse to play. On a more psychological level, I think it just boils down to hem trying to fill some sort of void in their life. Sadly, those losers will never understand that it doesn't mean shit.

Sorry for ranting earlier, and with that I sign off....

Man, he shoulda known better.
Remember this was in the thick of the great FG boom of the 90s. You couldnt find a gamer who didnt play sf or mk or tekken etc. So naturally with the playerbase so high, the casuals were EXTRA casual. Being able to successfully throw a fireball or dragon punch 50% of the time was all most kids needed to claim they were good. Also at that time, gaming was not yet fully mainstream and was viewed as more of a little kids or teenagers hobby, so that adds more layers of stupidity.

It gets worse. While the no1 player on ranked is a run of the mill DS who plays the game like an FPS,the no1 player on player match currently is a hacker. 15000 wins and 500 losses,he put those losses so that the stats seem more or less legit. I've seen people at level 130 or so. They even resort to hacking their levels, not just stats. Thats a true fraudulent player,if he can be even called a player for instantly getting 15000 wins and 500 losses

This post inspired me to pickup Deathstroke to kill time until my PC version of MKX shows up.

MTL's Worst Player.
I know the player you are talking about all too well. Until very recently, he made me EXTREMELY salty. I've only started taking fighting games, namely Injustice seriously, and am proud of the level I have reached (although I still have a long, long way to go). Learning all the terminology like footsies, what wakes up, learning how to properly utilize meter, being able to string combos together, starting to look at frame data etc.

It's been fun, and mostly I love playing against online players for practice. To continually run into a player who LITERALLY only spams guns and swordflip is frustrating as hell. That alone is only annoying, but when he is on the mic constantly taunting, claiming what a good player he is...well yeah, that's frustrating.

Thing is...the guy is just scum, pure and simple. He is also delusional. When he started getting abusive and was obviously delusional, I searched him, and I would encourage you to do the same. Over on Gamefaqs, he has numerous threads trying to boast that he is studying this and that, has a 4.0 GPA, runs a radio show, is a world champion weight lifter etc. He is well and truly delusional, and the fact that he spent 20 minutes filming and talking about his rank on the leaderboards is pretty much proof of that. Not to mention he reported a glitch to the FBI.

Back to my point...I was maining Lex, who can have a hard time against Deathstroke, and I was getting frustrated. After seeing how easily top tier players can defeat him, after seeing just how far I have to go....I realized the problem is purely with me. This guy isn't skilled, and the characer he is using isn't great, just easy to spam with. This community is great, and both of us unlike this fool genuinely want to improve our game. I've already had people offer to give me lessons and practice with them.

This player you speak of has put in 16000 matches, 15500 of which are with Deathstroke, and the next highest amount of wins with a character was 33 with Scorpion. Anyone who plays the game that much and hasn't been able to learn even a single other character or a single combo has issues. Just the other day he tried to claim the tree itneractible on Themyscyra was a combo by itself. As m2dave says in this or maybe another thread, anyone who can't get past his gun needs to find a new hobby.

The kid is delusional, so just ignore him. He really is a scrubby player, and while I can't get past him, I plan on ignoring him and all players like him, going back to offline and training until I can make him ragequit without even trying, with solid gameplay mechanics. My advice, and the advice I am giving myself, is not to lower yourself to a level of even being frustrated at such crappy players. Instead, spend that time and effort on getting better.
This advice would be great if you didn't dodge so many ranked games it's not even funny.

That Don't Impress Me Much
Deathstroke is nothing compared to Noob Saibot in MK9 IMO. thank goodness there is not a character like this in mkx. I mean I suppose you have some characters with fast projectiles like jaqui and maybe kano but it's not near the degree Noob was. but then again. it could be a match up thing.

anyway...lots of characters can get out of deathstrokes gun spams if timing is right or you are in a certain stage. my advice is to turn mics off. people trash talk to break you. and perhaps this is me being a turd but I hate shooting the breeze or talking trash while playing a game. unfortunately it's not fraud because it's how the game is if people spam. I know that I personally just get bored fighting against the same fighter over and over in all games. I have no problems losing. Usually though players like this once you play them enough you figure them out and then they start losing and quit or won't rematch. I noticed that wonder woman jump in turn around combos with exLasso stop deathstroke quick. Ares is also good.
