Okay, I'm rewatching DBZ, and I'm at the part where Vegeta is about to steal the Dragon Balls from Frieza. And he clearly says, "...it'll be her biggest mistake" in reference to Frieza! He said "HER"!!

Maybe I'm not so crazy after all... @THTB

If you are watching English dubs, it's a script/translation error. Frieza is a male. The Japanese voice itself is male and lines suggests a male character. They actually changed the original Funimation VA for Frieza due to the fact that Frieza didn't sound right (aka male).


I believe the translated text is of the original Japanese dialog of Kai.

I know he's male, but I just thought that was pretty funny considering I thought he was female when I first watched DBZ. And apparently, I was not alone in this. Even my main man Vegeta didn't know doo buddy had a wiener.

I won't lie I got Frieza's gender confused at first too, but I liked the original VA.

I still have the Ocean version on 2 sets of cd & dvd. Ah yeah spending my afternoons watching YTV and then when they moved it to prime time slots of 8:00 with Gundam Wing or Escaflowne till the cartoon network dubs were the shit.

Had to watch the Recoome Breath Blast Attack or the Eraser Gun in the re dubbed version.

Off topic I'm sorry.
