I´m curious to see how players are going to adapt/change his playstyle to get into MKX better.
So please answer the poll and tell everybody what do you think its going to be more difficult to change from what you are playing now, so perhaps it will help others in the same situation

Personally I´m playing KI and obviously the block button and stop thinking in combo breakers will be the hardest issue for me

Tell me, do you bleed?
Playing MK9 for old times's sake. Well, teching was the hardest part for me in MK9 and Injustice, so it's probably going to still be a problem for a while.

Apart from that, I'll have to get used to running.

Here... I am a god!
Playing MK9 and Injustice till MKX comes out. Best way to get ready for it is to play the two games it's a mix of, right? :D

I was playing a lot of KI when it first came out and then I tried to pick up Smash when it was released for the WiiU.

I think that I'm an average to slightly above average player and feel that the time I've spent with other FG's will overall benefit me while learning MKX.

Thats why they call this thing bloodsport, kid.
Not playing any but used to be a big SF player before 4. My SF fundamentals would allow me to jump into almost any FG and be competent even if I hadnt played in a year. MK is a dif animal tho.

I played MK9 quite extensively, and Injustice for a brief period of time.

Playing Killer instinct casually at the moment

Greetings, Mortal
I've taken a break from fighting games since MKX was announced, pretty much. Difficult to care about anything else ;).

Even though I have been playing MK9 for the last couple weeks, I was actually a SF4 player for a good portion of the last 5 years or so. I do not really think I am going to have to adapt that much. While MK and SF are different on the surface, obviously, they are very similar at their cores.

I've been away from fighting games for a couple of years. Still watch tournaments and browse forums occasionally. But before I took my break to play PC games I was playing Injustice. Before that, I was playing Persona 4 Arena, a bit of USF4 when it was in AE and Super, MK9 of course and before that Blazblue and SFxT. So I'm pretty familar with all types now. I probably prefer anime games like Persona the most because there's so much creativity and freedom of movement within the character designs and game mechanics. Injustice did a nice job of expanding on what MK9 had started and I really enjoyed it for what it was, hoping MKX will further that and the variation stystem will open up the creativity aspect a bit more. I felt very constricted with the neutral game and combos in MK9.

But yeah, tldr timeline of where I started with fighting games and where I ended up.

Blazblue CT (Tager only on pad)-> SF4 (dabbled in Bison, I bought an arcade stick for this and Marvel, but played Marvel for only like a week)- > MK9 (first time actually learning combos, neutral game, setups, multiple chars, really my first serious fg) -> SFxT -> Persona (this game helped me learn a lot, helped with execution, memorization of long combos, increased reaction time, etc) -> Injustice

I'm an old fart. I started my actual competitive fighting gaming when I was 19-20 living in the Bay Area and fell in love with soul calibur on dream cast way back when Y2k was a thing. I stayed with SC and frequented 8wayrun all the way till 4. I was in the military for 10 years do it made it hard to frequent whatever local scene I coukd fine. I dabbled in all the 00's fighters like cvs2, 3s and tekken, but it wasn't until mk9 that I became a mk player.

So I picked other with that other being soul calibur.

Havent played in about a month but DOA5 was my last (didnt see that option in the poll till it was too late, whoops). The toughest transition for me will be the difference in the neutral game. But then again, thats ALWAYS been an issue for me lol

I've been rotating between MK9, Injustice, SF4, and DOA5 since MKX was announced. Now I'm taking a break for Bloodborne. Kinda like the calm before the storm.

I respect any and every Tager player, for I too started BB with Tager!
I was watching BB when it first game out on Twitch and just looked so cool looking visually to me, it got me so hyped I had to pick it up. I then got inspired to play Tager from Mike Z and his videos and gameplay and Tager was just the perfect match, made me love grapplers from then on. It also helped he was very easy to play at low level play compared to the rest of the BB cast. I basically just backdashed a lot and command grabbed. But I knew bnbs and whatnot so I wasn't a complete noob. Litchi and Arakune were the bane of my existence. Grapplers have really taught me patience, especially the ones in anime fighters. Because generally they're lower tier and in those type of fighting games the more mobile and quick you are the better. But more importantly, some of the setups and mixups in those games insane and you're just sitting there like a rock trying to survive it all and hope you get that one hit.

My patience and defense definitely improved for playing Tager. Over the last few years I've gotten away from using grapplers but I might mess around with Ferra/Torr for MKX.
