Just a heads up for anyone looking to eat healthy on a budget, the following foods are cheaper than most fast food meals, are easy to prepare, and taste great:

1) Chicken Breast: I buy target brand, but you can do any grocery chain's "chicken breast with rib meat". They usually come out to a dollar or 2 per breast. Just pre-heat your oven to 450, put around 8-10 breasts on a baking sheet, and bake them on each side for 10 minutes. You can put oil and shit on if you want to be fancy, but I just cook mine naked, and add hot sauce when I'm going to eat them. I keep them in a ziplock container in the fridge and they last a while. Hungry? Just heat up a chicken breast.

2) Eggs: Just hard boil 12 to 18 eggs, peel them, and keep them in a ziplock container. Add salt, hot sauce, soy sauce, or whatever when you eat them. Eggs typically cost about $0.10 each, so they're great for eating healthy in a budget. Worried about cholesterol? Don't eat the yolk. To boil them, just put them all in a pot with some salt and enough water to cover about an inch above the eggs. As soon as the water hits a rolling boil, take the pot off and let the eggs simmer in the water for about 25 minutes. Rinse with cold water and ice and peel when ready.

3) Lentils: Lentils are insane in that they're crazy healthy, very high in protein, and dirt fucking cheap. A bag of lentils is $1.00 at my grocery store, and will make enough for me to eat all week. They're seriously cheaper than Ramen. They're also filling. They taste a little like lima beans, so they're definitely not for everybody, but you can cover the taste pretty well with salt, hot sauce, or any other seasoning.

4) Red Meat: Similar to chicken breast, you can usually find red meat that comes out to around $1.50 to $2.00 per serving. Target sells packs of 8 small steaks, and a lot of grocery stores sell giant steaks that you can cut into 6 or 8 servings yourself. Just like chicken, you can cook it in bulk and then just freeze it or refrigerate it.

5) Pinto Beans: My favorite side dish to eat along with my chicken and steak, pinto beans are delicious and healthy and cost less than $1. Heat them on the stove or in the microwave in under 5 minutes.

Excerise is great. Once you get into Routine you wont be able to take a few days off without thinking to workout again. It takes motivation to stay in the game though. Cant tell you how many of my friends just stop working out. Also about staying mentally fit as well. Eat right folks.

Also stick in some fruits and veggies!!!

Bananas aren't that expensive here. Blackberries are also dirt cheap compared to strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. I use lemons, but they are more expensive than limes so Substitute Lemons with Limes. These 3 are great if you're on budget. Buy a head of lettuce or mixed greens. Usually a tub of organic mixed greens is about 2.50 and lasts me the whole week! Oranges aren't too bad here either.

I accept nothing. Nothing is inevitable.
My workout's done for today. Can't wait for tomorrow... My back is hella sore but alright. ;)

F1 ftw.
You should put a apply deodorant step in this program. We don't need dudes who already smell ripe, smelling more ripe after a workout and no deodorant application.

still going to the gym 2x a week at least, no matter what game comes out. also having a strict food plan with lots of vegetables and only organic food.

The only morality in a cruel world is chance.
I've been drinking water mainly the last 3 months and I try to work out at least once a week, mostly at home calisthenics (I have a bar for pull ups in the backyard) and free weights. I need to work out more than that for sure. I weigh 190 lbs and am 5'10. I am able to knock out pull ups/chin ups, dips, and my bro has a bench at his pad. We've been hitting that up recently.

I will devote myself to doing some sort of exercise in between MKX matches, like knocking out some push ups or something and remain on my H2O beverage. I'm all for this health campaign. :]

WOOLAY!!!!
Completely unrelated to the topic but I officially start my dieting with mild exercise to follow later when I domt feel like shit. Im overweight for my size and trying to cut down to help my brother also lose weight. Can't go to the gym realistically because im a poor college student but intend to do my best to lose weight.

This is weird but, as the most attractive person here, I feel it my duty to join in.

Easiest thing is to cut out any drink that isn't water, or black coffee/tea

Likes nerds with big ...
So this is the reason so many people have themselves as their avatar? Who knew MK had so many hot players.

Anyways, kudos to everyone. I'm not joining in because the only thing this twink wants is a bigger booty while you guys are going hardcore.

Chilled to the Core
I've been pretty heavily involved in gymnastics for about 15 years (I know, gay). I've fallen off here lately and I want to gt back to how I was in high school when I did it competively. I was a beast on the still rings and parallel bars. And if you want a freakin workout then do a routine on the pommel horse, its by far the hardest thing ive ever had to do.

I haven't seen anything cardio related in this thread so I'll break the ice.

For those of you who desire a lean look. I usually jump rope twice a week for 20mins.
daaaaaaamn. Lui Kang wishes he could do that!

I used to be pretty damn good at jump rope but I have lost some of it. I think I'll go do some today. Thanks for the motivation!

I guess I'll be the detox Goddess here.

Detox Tip #1

Fill a pitcher with water, and cut up a whole cucumber (15-25 pieces on avg) and place them in the water.
Juice a whole lemon (if using limes, use 3-4)into it as well.

Leave it soaking overnight, and you got mean detoxifying water.

You can also prepare one to drink immediately if you want, 8oz glass, 3 cucumber slices, 1/4 lemon (1lime), and drink it.

Helps balanced pH levels and rid of toxins.
