I, like most people were actually fairly okay with their inclusion at EVO. I personally still am because we still haven't seen how they play out, or how potentially fun the matches can be to watch. EVO and other scattered tournaments not outright banning them was refreshing and anti-knee jerk.
People dismiss smash as a 'party' game all the time. Even when 'Rose ball' was a college staple in street fighter and drunken MK9 was a memorable part of that game's life in some scenes.

Custom Moves are a feature in Super smash brothers for wiiu and 3ds which allow the player to customize each character's special moves.
NRS games are considered party games by pretty much everyone else too, well, who cares *shrug*
I disagree with this sentiment. Such things need discovering as soon as possible. It's only a matter of time 'till everything is found, and if there's something really broken, I don't think a lot of people will enjoy being stuck with it.

If you're playing videogames competitively I don't really see the point in measuring egos by what game you play honestly. Anime, Smash, NRS, Capcom...who gives a shit? Really. Its a fucking videogame. We're all being nerds. Lets just enjoy that for what it is and stop trying to setup a social hierarchy based on games.

This. You'd be surprised what's out there. Blaz blue has some of the best stuff I've seen honestly in terms of unique mechanics. Azrael and Trinity's gimmicks would be right at home here at NRS. Tatsunoko vs Capcom had the best rekka character ever in Polimar given he could cancel a mashable lockdown move into one of 3 moves (High,low, or grab) . Hell even Arcana Heart has something cool in that it has a homing dash...imagine the stuff you could do with that in other games. Lord it'd make Thor obscene in UMVC3. Smash bros has the greatness that is the tech chase and the landing lag cancels into dashes. Imagine the glory of aNightwing player who could whif a dive into a dash up string and chase you.
