I used to love Lius f1, 2 for a pressure starter. I am really hoping he has that, or somethng like it in MKX.

You're telling me that wasn't the easiest 30%+ ever? Aside from his other two repeating combos...
Well then, cheap is definitely not the word you are looking forward, as was pointed out already. Now cheap would be Quan Chis rune traps. But Liu Kang just had simple combos. It makes me believe you may have just had problems blocking low to high, which is why you think he was "cheap".

Liu looks very good this time around, good rush and zoning game! ERRON on the other hand really doesnt look cool at all to play.
I was thinking the same thing about Erron. I was bored when they revealed him. I can just watch gameplay and know that I would be straight ass cheeks with him. He is just not for me.

Again: cheap and lame...hated since day one. Liu Kang UMK3/MKT had great combo starter with air pop up fallowed with fire ball and dragon kick.

Why are people so against that string? lol, all you had to do was block low and stay out of that strings range.
Because aside from the few well-known/legit and dedicated Kang players there were, ala XBladez or good ol' @Squeaker101 , almost every LK I ever fought or watched in a Hill did the same. fucking. thing. A few jabs here, an F3 there, every once in a while an inventive one would come along, but 90% of the time/of my personal VS Liu experience, they relied on it like a crutch. B312, all day. Or 213 if they were feeling lazy. I wouldn't say it hindered him because he'a still, IMO, one of the most versatile and undersold characters in the game along with probably Ermac...but it wasn't like a Cyrax or a Lao where you have certain definitive dirt AND enough outside options to be your own unique version of the character - i've never made it out of a pool in my life, but I've still yet to see anyone successfully use or implement as many Buzzsaw setups and reads as I do with Cyrax and I'm proud as fuck of the playstyle I've built with him - it was such a powerful tool in the context of the character that it made him feel like once you factored his zoning and specials in, you didn't really need to turn to anything else other than getting that juggle in to shift momentum.
I don't judge, I don't HATE hate it - I've had a pocket suit 2 Blue Kang for years and I love him in spite of his giant hitbox - but I'm genuinely excited to see the character fleshed out brand new without everyone having the same monotonous routine about hin.

Forget that just hope for a smaller hit box than mk9 and he will be a monster
I think NRS learned their lessons with crouching hitboxes in Injustice (only actually big characters were hit with things that would whiff on a normal character...which is more expected than anything).

Yes and I was hype about him, but hes gameplay just doesnt look cool, for now hes in the buttom with Kano as less hype characters after I saw the gameplay.

Ease of combos literally is no determinant in what is cheap in fighting games. Plenty of other chars have equal or more damage. Liu Kangs b312 was goid because it was a 10 frame low with good reach and ends neutral. His other strings are amazing because of reach pushback and speed, and it could be argued that how far he advance and the difficulty of whiff punishment was a bit unfair but in no way we're his or any chars "easy combos" cheap. At a midlevel 99% of the combos are easy/ a given. Perhaps you should expand your perception on how fgs are played and what is fair/ unfair or not balanced, such as the recovery on kenshis charge, or gas blasts, or especially armored launchers that advance have a huge hitbox and are -3 on block( so has ex cweel)

Sounds to me like you never played myself, xarakamaka, skillful chris, daddy dab, or a lot of people who put a ton of time in mk9. If anything f12 and 213 were just as good as b312. 213 was esp. Good because it was a great interrupter, leads to mixups( 2 into b312, 21ex fireball) , and has perfect pushback. Liu kang had an amazing set of strings

I didn't say it was unfair, just lame you can repeat it over and over into a combo. That's all I meant with "cheap".
