Let's be real, every scene has somebody, that one person that just reigning champion of all things salt. Not necessarily in a serious way but it's a staple job that every scene must have filled nonetheless.

What I am asking is, who is the saltiest Saltmaster in your local group of players, what are they saltiest about and what is their salty catchphrase?

I'll start:

UK: (Unanimous) @PND_Ketchup

Salty catchphrase: "I don't feel like I was outplayed there"

Saltiest about: The 2 in Sektors 12B1

Your turn!

Don't run, you're gonna trip...
Okay, so I have a small scene at the school I attend, and there's a freshman named Ken. Ken is HORRIBLE at every game we play, Smash, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, even FUCKING Mario Kart.

The most hilarious thing about him is what we call "the AwaKENing" because if you beat him and he felt like he came "close" to beating you, he would enter this mode where he was extremely quiet, have the gamer angry face, and call salty runbacks on you until he wins a game. It doesn't matter if there is a rotation or not, when he enters this mode, everyone is a spectator. He did this to me when we were playing Project M and I Bowser FSmashed him so many times he legit put the controller down, started crying, and stormed off the room.

It has gotten to the point where we started keeping a record of how many times we have "broKEN" him, and so far I am in the lead with 3 of them. The funny thing is, when we try to teach him, he gets HELLA defensive and acts like he doesn't need out help and he can figure it out on his own, which he has failed to do. We have tried everything from 1-on-1 coaching, to even telling him the move we are going to do next and he just does not take into account what we are telling him.

It may seem like we give him a lot of shit, but he does it to himself, with his petty attitude and selfish tendencies, so we are going to teach him the hard way to respect his fellow schoolmates.

MK11 Kabal = MK9 Kitana
Tom Brady collectively is the saltiest person in this quadrant of the galaxy, so my answer is Tom Brady, Final Answer.
I would say Slips is. Maybe you weren't around then, but there was a stream early in mk9 where he was playing against 16 bit and raging about d1 lol... It was epic amounts of salt. Slips is pretty reserved around people he doesn't know, but you can see the salt frothing.

In my local scene, the saltiest person is definitely @801 Vegeta with his brother Tooth a close second. It is borderline a full 12-step program after casuals... Anger, denial, etc. rarely do we ever see the acceptance phase lol

Shady

Noob
You'd think so, but in the MK world he is just the Toronto runner up. No one holds a candle to the troll-mastery of Scumbag Shady. That one time, I heard, he actually brought a Staples "That Was Easy" button to set in front of the stream station. There also may or may not have been a thing when someone tried to fight him in real life because of all the trolling...

Okay, I'll stop talking about myself in third person. Trust me. Ask @NeoRussell, @TakeAChance and some other of these scrubs.

What is going on guys, Ya Boi Zyphox here.

i can see your point, but Tomicus Bradyson is the saltiest person you will ever meet, to this day this guy still will bitch about something that happened years ago in tournament due to nerfs for his characters. and he's like Randy Orton, he will come out of nowhere with them too! i love Menutis, but he is the saltiest guy ever.

You realize that he's going to snap and kill you in your sleep right?

Also I vote for me as saltiest person at my local.

STRYKIE

Are ya' ready for MK11 kids?!
PND Ketchup - "OMG Jax's dash punch is fuckin stupid online, no other move is this hard to whiff punish"

*says this whilst playing Nightwolf online and has gotten away with several unpunished shoulder charges in the same match*

That Don't Impress Me Much
by acknowledging someone is salty is just giving them attention and power and exactly what they want. if someone is salty and mad then it is their problem. if they want to do rushdowns that I can't get out of forcing a player to resort to zoning then beat them then that is their problem. If someone is just going to spam fest Noob Saibot online and do nothing else and call themselves good but quit soon as you figure out their zoning then good for them. they can all just blow it up their ass. #quitality

STB Sgt Reed

Online Warrior
Idk who the saltiest is in the ATL scene b/c I wasn't able to go to too many during MK9's life, BUT

I'll never forgot the time I beat glass sword for like the 3rd or 4th time in a bnb tourney and he lost it. lol Kept saying how he couldn't believe he lost to sgt reed. The looks on everyone's face was priceless. I remember Lord of the Fly trying to tell him that I wasn't that bad and he wasn't having any of it. Ah good times.
