I can't believe people were expecting the same classic brutality. It would look tacky af if it was in MKX. I'm actually really excited for this.

Nostalgia reasons. Like I said before in the other thread, what worked 20 years ago wouldn't work today and MKX is a different game.

@ tru fenix: eh, brut alities and ultimates arent that much alike, ki its just one long chain combo, where mk end in gory, over the top Death.

I think they will be awesome in mkx.

if youre not going to make it like the old brutalities why not just do animalities? or call it something different?

im not saying this is gonna be different or worse (no idea obv havent seen it) but if it is only 6 hits and/or different why not do or call it something else.

I think these are going to be somewhat like the custom Fatalities that were in Deception (or Armageddon or Deadly Alliance, I can't remember). You'll input one move then be able to transition into another for more gore.

I am just hoping they're very difficult to perform. I'm hoping you'll need to start a combo and continue it as the opponent dies then input something that links into the Brutality, which then begins the sequence I described above. Unfortunately, I don't feel that's "accessible" enough for many people.

They're also showing the new stages shown in the Konnections trailer as well as possibly going further into certain characters variations that haven't been fully shown yet.

Yes, I'd hate that too.

I'm okay with ultras looking that way cause all of KI looks like that. Beautiful arenas, giant lifelike characters, herp derp combos.

But nothing in MKX looks like old school brutalities anymore. The rapid fire dial a combos, the random bloodsplosions, the shower of rib cages, all that old school shit would just look absolutely retarded in MKX.

My hope for Brutalities is something between the Klose Kombat in MKvDC and Kratos' QTEs in MK9. Hopefully they have multiple options per character too so you don't always have to do the same shit.

Brutalities should basically just be fatalities but show two or three xrays in it, with at least 15 punches/kicks or more
