Just watched the matches, great games to everyone. Aquamans trait is definitely a problem, but Tom played really well so congrats to him.

Every Character in Injustice has dirt, that's fair. pls stop this BS, Tom Brady did a good job, for once congratulate him, this is something he wanted to do with sub-zero, from a very long time.

You guys are just too much: " Gosh Deathstroke is Broken", " Batman trait is Broken", "Doomsday trait is Broken", " Aquaman Trait is Broken" "Green Arrow Super is Unblockable", "Stage Gimmicks are Broken"

Seriously guys, do you want to give me some headache disease or something?

Where art thou, MKX Skarlet?
Yeah... anyone saying "such and such is a problem"... no. No one is qualified to know the game so well that they can make a legitimate argument about anything yet. I wish people would remember we have a real practice mode and would just use it.

Congratulations TB.

First off, ggs to everyone there.. KT, Jailhouse, Dark Rob, and everyone else i played.. ggs, you all played well. Such a close set with jaihouse and KT, awesome sets guys, you are both great players and showed me a lot that i need to take to the lab.

REO congrats on whipping me up in winners finals and the great set we played in grand finals. Ill tell you all this, without REO's help, i would be trash. He helped me work through a lot and really helped me understand the game. And to anyone crediting batman, its not batman thats good, its REO. He is one of the best fighting game players i know and will take any character in this game and play them at the highest level.

That cop-out is getting old. Aquamans trait is clearly a problem, to say otherwise is straight denial. You don't need to have played the game for a year to realize how much of an impact his trait has. What good does practice mode do against Aquamans trait? It's by far one of the best traits in the game, it's undeniably a problem.

What is wrong with this community? You guys unnecessarily cry nerf on things that obviously are beatable or don't need nerfs, then deny things that are legitimate problems being an issue. I'm not even saying Aquamans trait needs a nerf, I'm saying it's a problem. Rewatch Brady's matches, it's essentially like having a combo breaker the entire match. The trait wouldn't be as much of a problem if it didn't regenerate so quickly, you literally almost always have the option to use it. And I seriously doubt Tom Brady would deny how good Aquamans trait is. No one is taking away his performance at all, he obviously wasn't winning only due to trait, to even imply that is disrespectful and ignorant.

overall reo lost 6-5, judging by that aquaman is not op. the trait also allows you new mixup options with throw. nerfing anything but infinites right now would be outright stupid.

When did I even hint at Aquaman being "OP". And when did I say anything needed to be nerfed? Did you even read the post you quoted?

There is no denial from me as to just how good Aquaman's trait is lol... My only issue is with the "this characters trait is a problem".. LOTS of things are problems but there is a balance of problems. To remove one problem means you have to remove them all. There should be no jury or judge that decides who gets to keep their dirt and who must lose it. This is one of the biggest issues with MK9, some characters were stripped while others got more dirt or were allowed to remain dirty. Good luck convincing a Jade player that their U3 had to be nerfed because it was a problem but that Kabal and Kenshi were just fine. Is this REALLY what the community wants again?

so you say its a legitimate problem compared to other nerf demands, it recovers soo fast and would be not so much of a problem if it wasnt. if that doesnt imply a nerf demand, its just stating the obvious. everyone knows the trait is really good.

It's a problem in regards to dealing with competitively, not a problem in regards to it needing a nerf. His trait definitely shouldn't be removed nor am I or would I advocate for that. I understand that people are afraid of unjustified nerfs this time around based on MK9 but that shouldn't discourage legitimate discussion on how good some things are.

The problem I'm having Tom is that a character I use has already been said to getting a nerf (by Paulo himself), and it's a completely unneeded nerf. So you're damn right I'm going to call out things like Aquamans trait when someone like Ares is getting nerfed for so much less.

GG Brady ! Even if Aquaman would be broken, skill is skill, you already proved it being so many times top 8 with a shit character on mk9.

Worst Sub-Zero Ever
Watching the grand final, Tom played really well to come back. Tom's Aquaman looked like the Terminator at times in those games.

For those complaining about Aquaman's trait, remember what Reo said after Civil War, which is that Aquaman vs Batman depends a lot on trait management. Love it or hate it, Tom's trait management was really on point and so was Reo's. Good games, all in all.

Congrats, Tom.

JOKER TRAIT IS A PROBLEM
;)

..just not the kind of problem u guys talking about

What's a Smarrgasm?
Everyone talking about aquamans trait while looking at batmans. Theyre both INSANELY good and perfectly matched to their character. You guys havent seen the full power of bats. They are so ridiculous. Batman is a pressure machine. Aquamans trait is perfect for him cause he gets to throw all his mixups and slightly unsafe stuff for free (against most of the cast) or just slip out of combos when he gets caught. I could see some extra downtime for aquaman but thats it. I see bats as a way bigger problem though just based on how they work. So versatile.

If I had one wish it'd be to stop the whole "Character X doesn't need nerfs, player X needs nerfs" talk. Not because it's never true or anything, but it's because it's often simplistic, and is used to ignore real problems. A question like "well who else is doing good with the character?" is irrelevant. Remember the "Kabal isn't broken, Reo is" talk? Can't it be both? Does the fact that REO is clearly an out of this world player make Kabal any less BS compared to the rest of the cast. Of course, you have other people who just make it all about the character ("Kenshi is braindead bro"), and that's just as bad.

The problem with this kind of thinking is that it turns into either: A) Cries for unwarranted and excessive nerfs, or B) Kissing a top player's ass and telling him how good he is when nobody is really denying it. What happens then is that real problems are either ignored, or something that isn't a problem is treated like a problem. Lose-lose.

Anyway, as far as nerfs are concerned, I say let the game develop. And ggs to Tom and Reo. That's the second hype Grand Finals they've produced in seven days or so.

I'm guessing REO's random Sky Grapples weren't so much bad reads as they were going from crouch into a b1 combo and the game spazzing out?
