A few things in common, i notice is what brings some players to hang out with others, and the metal is strong in us!

There's a lot of different issues being addressed in this thread, and some of them are misplaced. Shit talk about MK9 isn't comparable to people squatting in your room unwanted, or people stealing your shit. I actually don't mind a little trash talk as long as it stays within the game and doesn't get personal. The way this thread is going, you guys are making it seem like the people talking shit should get some kind of punishment. GTFO! That has little to do with this thread and was only brought up because of the Kevo vid. So please, cut the "tell me who talked shit" stuff out. There's no reason to lynch someone for just talking some shit in the realm of MK, and we shouldn't give the impression trash talk isn't allowed.

1) Tetra paid for the room without being asked.

2) This is MikeMetroid's fault, Mike was fine with a floor spot, but his brother wouldn't allow it. His brother originally had MY air mattress. I can see how this looks iffy for both parties, but after Mike's brother pulled some other shit - I would like to say I have Tetra's back on this one.

3) He is actually really good with Baraka, but that is a stupid character to play in tournaments.

      • $2 per soda you get from the vending machine x 2 = $4
      • $2 per bag of Skittles or chips or whatever x 3 = $6
      • $12 per case of beer x 2 = $24
    • Lodging for AN ENTIRE WEEKEND = $150-$300
      • $150 per night AVERAGE x 2 nights = $300
      • Split this shit if you can.
    • If you're not driving, figure at least $15/day = $45
      • CABS: $7 per mile + tip
      • Having someone drive you: $5/day assuming it's only light travel
    • Entry Fees = $50-$100

      TOTAL COST: $518 - $718

      Now I'm sure you're saying, "Gee, BillStickers, that's a fucking assload of money and I'd NEVER pay that much." Bull fucking shit. The REASON why we hear about this shit so often is because ignorant FUCKS don't understand the value of a dollar. Every time one of you shitbags doesn't pay for a meal, or a room, or gas, or tolls, or entry fees, all you're doing is having SOMEONE ELSE WHO IS MORE RESPONSIBLE THAN YOU pick up the cost. It's fucking bullshit nonsense. Man/woman the fuck up and realize that you're all old enough to budget properly.

      Don't want to spend $700 on a tournament? Fine, but don't expect to follow all of your buddies to Denny's, don't expect free alcohol, don't expect free lodging, and don't expect people with cars to be your personal chauffeurs. You can't live like a king off of everyone else's dime.

This. I have not been to any major because i can't quite afford it, or i am working to be able to afford another one(why i missed MLG). So for those that go and mooch off of everyone else, Screw you. Some of us work our asses off to do this and do not need your kind killing the experience. This is why i left Pro gaming the first time and i would hate to see it happen with FGC. To all those i have met personally keep being great people and examples to all these scrubs.

Oh and on a side note anyone who took advantage DanChoke you should feel like shit, he is a great guy. I have never met him in person but i have mad respect for this man through all my interaction with him.

nah, I can't fault you for winning. yeah I didn't do nearly as well as I wanted but you can't win em all.

wish I had picked kabal right away. I knew I didn't like the Ermac/Smoke match up but went for it anyway. Plus I was playing very impatiently so I got force pushed to death. my own fault.

Tell me about it. I didn't go to UFGT8 which was roughly 1 hour by bus/10-15 min by car from my place.

I don't have a car so I couldn't come back/forth to my place & the venue after each day, so I did the math for Hotel/Expenses and it would of been up to 300-400 to go to a Tourny almost right next to me. It's tough to plan shit. But I know damn well I'm saving for Injustice Tournaments already.

PS: I still can't get over the fact that a random guy walked in your hotel took a shit and left with hair all over the place. Savage.
