Using normal PS3 controller, how the hell do i do this consistently?

how long is it gonna take to learn?

i find most of the times it's either not low enough or i get a njp kick instead.

and can someone direct me to the safe TP after a jip/jk thread,i could swear i saw one.

if youre reffering to the just frame teleport, its impossible for ps3 pad imo. you can jump and right before you land and teleport, thats the only way for ps3 pad I think, I practiced it and I could pull it off 1 out of about 20 tries eventually.

Yeah dude. On a pad, you gotta pick your poison. Not saying its not possible but, The instant air just frame TP is......it makes my brain hurt thinking about it. Lol

It is by no means impossible on a PS3 pad, you just have to be fast, practise and you'll develop muscle memory for it.

It is hard to learn, but not impossible.

holy fuck i'm getting kinda better with this!

Seven can you do it reliably?I'm practicing it for online use, even offline i see myself teleporting ridiculously low to the ground yet still not whiffing it!

Incorrect. I used to think the same thing, then I just sat in training practicing it for a while. Most I hit it was 4 times in a row, and probably about 1/3 overall. On stick I had mostly the same results. With both, I was more consistent from the left side.

A real match is a different story though. I don't think anyone will ever be able to get this 100% of the time or even 90% on stick, pad, hitbox, etc., making it too risky to use in a tournament in my opinion unless you're in a desperate situation.

I don't think I saw Slips use it once in that last tournament, Frosty Frothings or whatever it was.

No way can I do it 100% of the time, but I get it down much more than I used to. I do believe though, that with practise anyone can reach a fairly consistent execution rate.

However, I only use this offline, it would never even cross my mind to try to pull this off online.

i'm getting better at this, the iATP's are much more common now!

Seven, what would you say your succesfull iatp % is?

wait,is it easier in the corner?

For me personally, it's slightly easier when I'm on the left side.

If I had to put a percentage to it, I would say around 70%

I'm right handed, don't ask me why it's easier on the left side I have no clue myself :p

I had everything down with scorpion so when iATP hit the market it was the only thing I was practising so I learnt it fairly fast, hope that makes sense lol

I only use the version where I land after the jump and then teleport, the instant teleport is too much for me to risk a full combo punish with it, im not the type of scorpion that likes to chase opponents either so I don't really need it

i've decided to quit it,it just doesn't seem like something you can really learn,i'm already doing it as fast as i can i get mostly jumpkicks.

Don't lose your motivation purely because of online, don't base any of your knowledge based on what happens online, ever.

Keep practising and level up!

Thing is,i can't go online, somethings wrong and it won't let me go online, the only times i can go on are on the morning when i'm either off to school or all my friends are off.

The njkicks are offline and i'm already learning Shang,he's my secondary, while i like scorpion's pressure and all the setups i'm not gonna waste hours in a training room when the only offline fighting i do is vs a friend who plays once a month.

unless i can actually go online i'm not spending another minute in mk except when i'm desperately trying to logon

Whatever you do, don't give up, the sense of achievment is worth the effort.

Most tournies are on PS3 which I don't have much practice on a PS3 pad for iatp. If it was on XBox I'd be more inclined to try.

But I agree for the most part this is sometihng you want to use sparingly, its pretty hard, but extremely rewarding when you get it.
