It was a relatively recent thing people started doing near the end of the beta, tbf. It was how folks were finally able to consistently break 30% with his combos.

WTF? You can do Amplfied Spear twice in the same combo also? I thought for sure he couldn't so I didn't even try.

We don't even know what it actually is though. Liu Kang with lightning eyes and tattoos could be just about anything as far as we know.

Lol. Yep! It goes to show how powerful grounded combos can potentially be in this game. It'll actually be really important to figure out good grounded combos on top of the usual juggling stuff, and Scorpion seems to have a pretty strong balance of that. In fact, I'm personally logging it in that he'll have the best balance of grounded and juggle damage in the game.

We didn’t figure out that spear cuts your combo dmg til late so everyone was just doing spear combos and didn’t try double teleport which we now know is his main source of dmg.

 

That KP render, though...I wouldn't even be mad if the Ashrah dream was a lie if THAT was the Nightwolf that comes to fight in MK11.

So wait how is the Day 1 patch already up when it's day -6? Does that mean all the tourney variations are available? And updated frame data?

Can you say anything about why Raiden and Sub are so bad? No offense, but I really REALLY hope you're wrong (or missing something, or there's another patch coming, or w/e), since they're my two favs in the whole series.

See, I thought that might be it, but he simply referred to Raiden as "bad". I assume there must be another connotation to prompt the diction swap! Maybe it means simple, or "braindead": A literal vegetable could play them. Sub-Zero was referred to as a good character for beginners by Paolo, I've heard.

But maybe I'm overthinking things.

@Chernyy Volk Can you elaborate on Raiden at all? Are all his tourney variations bad? Is it the frame data? Available moves? Does he seem like he might have dirt to discover later or it's just that obvious?
