Now that's somethig I can get behind.Just turn the block button a universal parry button and MK might feel more like a magical kung fu fighter than the slugfest that is MKX. Oh and never restrict my ability to backdash out of stupid pressure again. I want to feel lile Ip man parrying every individual strike on defense, not just stand in one spot holding block while I eat a bunch of shit into mix ups and endless plus frames and then guess on random armor, that is not how defensve martial arts work. Theres ducking and weaving, counters, dodging, ect. Im almost imagining my perfect MK game as like a 2D version of tekken footsies but with the classic MK style special moves. Just make the game more neutral based and make defense great again.
Imo no game should have chip to death.
Love the idea. What do you guys think if a future MK game introduced a "perfect guard" system?
It would consist on pressing the block button 1 frame away of an impact on your character making it possible to negate: Chip, meter build and come out of blocking 1 frame earlier.
What pros and cons do you think this mechanic?
Only if they were all parries. Make some reversals and all of them would be move specific - meaning if they counter highs and overheads, mids and lows would beat them. Some could be just for projectiles....Universal parry mechanic would homogenize roster. Don`t let 3rd strike delusions devour you.
Reduce 50/50`s instead.
Being honest MK9 didn't have the jail pressure MKX has. So many character's have Skarlet-like pressure, and when you add the run button, and string with incredible range, it becomes a bigger issue. Also, it may just be me, but I feel meter is built much faster in this game, although I haven't played MKXL much, so maybe that is gone.Damn MKX has scarred this community for life lmao. People are so afraid of chip and meter build now.
Everyone was perfectly happy with all that in MK9.

Could you please be a dear and explain to me why should I consider that course of action?
What would you say if I said that I didn't play Injustice series this much, yet I rant about mine ideas to those who play these games?Could you please be a dear and explain to me why should I consider that course of action?
And also, the briefness of your message does not allow me to be completely clear on whether your response is in regards to the whole of my ideas, or only to the last statement. Would it be to much trouble to ask you to elabore on that as well?
Basically u want you scv's just gaurd system. Haha I was realllly good at scv but trash at just guardingWhat do you guys think if a future MK game introduced a "perfect guard" system?

Ok, perhaps I should clarify that I played a lot of MKX, but not very much after the XL patch was released. I still read forums, watch tournaments, and stay informed about it. I really believe I have a high understanding of the game. The loopable pressure is still in the game, and so are the running and far reaching normals. I am not sure how the meter building compares after the XL patch because they nerfed it and I haven't played much after it, I do feel it was faster before XL was released but even if you disagree with that, I did clarify it could just be the way I felt it.What would you say if I said that I didn't play Injustice series this much, yet I rant about mine ideas to those who play these games?
If you understand this, then this is what GAV meant. If you played all the characters and played this MKXL this much like everyone else, you would understand what's going on here.
Now that makes sense. I can understand why you don't play MKXL this much. I didn't play MKX this much, because back then I didn't have PS4. It was a year later that I finally got the PS4, and immediately the MKX. It was just 2 months before the MKXL patch, so I don't know what differences do the chars have before/after the MKXL patch. The only difference I know is from Sub Zero's damage from before and after the MKXL, so I wouldn't comment about it that much.Ok, perhaps I should clarify that I played a lot of MKX, but not very much after the XL patch was released. And also, if what I said was read as a rant, I am sorry I gave the wrong impression. As Braindead said people were ok with MK9's chip damage and meter build but are not with MKX's, I felt he implied that those two worked similarly in both games. I disagree with that, I feel MKX is stronger in that regard so I explained why I think that. Personally I don't mind the strong pressure, I used to play A-list.
Because you were speaking like an authority before you cleared up the fact that you are not.Could you please be a dear and explain to me why should I consider that course of action?

Ok, but now that we cleared that I do know what I am talking about with Tanno you owe me an apologyBecause you were speaking like an authority before you cleared up the fact that you are not.
I fulfilled my end. Now, your turn; Go on...
I'd love to play with you too, but I need to get the money to buy a new console and don't see it happening soonNow that makes sense. I can understand why you don't play MKXL this much. If you play again, I'd love to spare with you someday.
